  • Rob Capuano woke up one night with a severe pain in his stomach. He wanted to be seen at an urgent care, but due to COVID, the facility couldn’t admit him. When he was seen, he had to insist on an MRI, which resulted in his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Between surgery and chemotherapy, Rob achieved survivorship. He is also thankful that the hospital where he was treated was sensitive to issues tied to his being a married gay man, because, says Rob, not all health care facilities have staffers with those sensitivities. Rob says his health is very close to its pre-diagnosis level, and works as an advocate for cancer patients.

These videos are good. Can you sort them in a playlist based on the cancer?

I hope Rob continues his healing and has a happy healthy life.
This brings me to my issue.
I have occult blood in stool, left side pain below the ribs, upper stomach ache, feel full when I eat a little, constipation, belching, fatigue ,and as of a few days ago, nausea and vomiting. Also my lipase levels are slightly elevated and slowly going up.
Recent results of a CT scan with contrast of the abdomen showed everything to be normal except mild fatty non-alcoholic liver. I also had an ultrasound on my gallbladder which was normal. I’m looking to get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy in a couple months.
My question to you is, if there were cancer anywhere, would it have shown up in the scans? My mother and grandmother both died of stomach cancer.

It will show a shadow via CT and can only be confirmed via gastroscopy to confirm and PET Scan to find out if it spread anywhere.

I would advise you to get a CA19.9 blood test, if it comes out normal then you might have chron disease or something similar
