      Strength is more related to the material properties....a longer shaft though would be have more twist due to the same internal torque, assuming the material and cross section geometry are the same.

    I wish you could provide a video on how to calculate the maximum torque of a solid square shaft, hollow round and square tubing (typical HSS sections, for example square tubing with interior and exterior radii. Include twist too!!!

    Sweet video, one thing that's confused me for a while now is if you twist a rod (subject it to torsion) does that mean that force is created along through length of rod?!

      Torque is like an axial load. It involves a twisting action, versus compression or tension throughout the rod.

    May I know why you multiplied tao by rho in the integral? You said Tao multiplied by area is a force which is what we're finding, T. So what's the reason for multiplying by rho?
