I’ve both ridden and driven this road numerous times. One thing to watch out for is gravel on the pavement. They’ll respray it periodically and mix in pea gravel, and it will collect in all the areas where car tires aren’t constantly scrubbing it. Also, watch out for wildlife. One trip I took a couple years ago, a moose was spooked by the summer traffic and was berserking down the lanes of the road for quite a stretch before it headed off into the woods. All that being said, this is a great road to ride. Very picturesque.
Well not an American Native, but i played NFS RUN and i absolutely loved this environment, maybe someday i would get to ride there BTW stay safe bro amd keep ridin
A long time ago I made a delivery in aspen wanting to take the shortest route home i just headed east cab over kw with a 42 ft flatbed luckily there wasn’t much traffic was a little tight getting around a couple of corners got down to other side and everyone was yelling at me on the cb you’re going get arrested never saw a cop till I got passed twin lakes and he just gave me long look!
Why the title? Dare what? Sorta click bait-y, but then I'm familiar w/ the pass and just had to see if there was a twist in this ride, which there was not. You should just be up front and title it "... a very nice ride". And leave it at that, which, of course, it is.......
Amazing, we did this ...in September 2023! :)
It's an amazing ride...glad you were able to experience it!
