Scale:
D - (E, F#) G, A, B, C#, D, E, F# (G), A, B (C#, D, E)
This scale is one of Alex and Malte's longest running companions. Initially called "Malte Pan", Ralf from Ayasa and Malte designed the layout of this scale together in 2017. To the classic "Asha" one tone is added on the upper shell and 6 tones on the lower shell, which expands the harmonic possibilities of the handpan many times over. This makes it possible to play a wide variety of moods - from cheerful and light to tense and melancholy. According to various manufacturers one of the most requested scales ever.
Ayasa is the inventor and creator of the new material 'ember steel'. It has reached big popularity amongst players and makers alike since it promises to combine the stable features of nitrided steel and the sustain from stainless steel instruments. We have to say we totally love the material and Ayasa is doing a great job working it and making it sound rich, warm, with a nice long sustain, well balanced, accurate, crystal clear...Oh we can hardly stop telling you how nice this is!

i firmly believe, as a Handpan player that also listens to a lot of songs on Handpan, that this is the #1 Handpan song of all times. I know some say its "When wind talks", but for me this quick and almost improvised performance is the absolute best i've ever listened to. Made me buy a 16 notes Ashakiran scale handpan just to learn this. I've been obsessed for the last 6 months at this. Thank you Malte Marten.

I like his song on the E Amara more, but it is also much slower. But yeah, this agility in this piece is just amazing
yes this is finest
Did not know handpan was even a thing - now am enchanted by this skilled performance.💖
The design of these and adding the notes to the bottom is just amazing

Love this piece you composed, I listen to it on loop while working sometimes :)
Started my journey recently with handpans, picked up a simple Celtic D minor as starter and love it so far. Maybe will get one of these in the coming years.
Marvelous 👏
magical
Bravo!!!
Wow Magic Malte...Wahnsinn.. Grüße aus MG
Damn man, you kill it in all your videos! Would you say this scale rivals a Kurd in versatility?
1:28 by far the best part. This was awesome, great instrument and player!
Thank you man, appreciate it :)
😂 I try learn about how make music for long time but my brain is still not know the visual, this is very nice sound relaxing
ZUUUPERRRRRR
Unglaubliches handpan spiel, wahnsinnig guter klang
Waw
That playing was SO good.
I see this scale hace many lf the "white notes", would u consider this to be a scale that could be too 'happy'? Or could u get melancholic melodies too?
We actually play it mostly in (B) minor, but as the Ding is the fundamental of the major scale - yes it is in major and quite happy/uplifting. But then you can swith to the minor mode and make it sound less 'happy'. Or Dorian - dreamy.
Check out 'Modes', they are amazing. Find tutorials here on youtube for example!
Awesome piece of music. I love it so much.
I tried to play it, however I cannot interpret the basic groove from 0:26 to 0:30.
Is there anybody who is willing to share some insights?
Or could play this part very slowly to follow along?
I'd appreciate it very much.
Hi Manuel, maybe a bit late, but if you click on the settings cog icon and you will find a playback speed option, the pitch stays the same, I wouldn't go less than 0.5 though as the quality suffers, but that might help see and hear what is going on. Good luck ;)
Hey, this sounds really good. Could you explain the scale harmonically? Is it D-Major? But it doesn' t sound so major. What does Asha- Tone mean? Thanks for an answer!
I'm no expert but I've been told it's. D major with one extra not that makes it an asha. That's for an 8 or 9 note though...this pan has many extra bottom notes too!
I also love it because it's a very sweet nostalgic and sad and also hopeful major :)
This is a D-Minor scale. One of the most requested scales.
@@melvinbridgewater6402 it's a D major👍
Is it 432 or 440?
Hey guys, this is my dream pan. Listen to the Mountains did that to me! Do you know if you plan to get any more of the 15+1 or 9+1 in? The handpan united email said Ayasa had their inventory seized so I am thinking maybe not? Thank you for all the healing music :)
🙏💛💛
Yes! I also love Listen to the Mountains 🙏 One of my favorites themes ever ❤️ It is great to see from the top some little parts from it played here 😀
@@RafaelPessiTube YES ISNT THAT AWESOME!!!
is this scale ideal for beginners?
for beginners we would recommend going for a Kurd scale! You have less notes but its also not as pricey to start your handpan journey :) check out yataoshop.com/products/manik-d-kurd-ember-9-1 for example
