Is it just me or are there visible gaps between the top lid and the bottom where the rubber gasket is not touching? Some look quite large. See video around 14:12 onwards.

      Sorry about the delayed reply.
Most rooftop tents of this type tend to have a bit of a gap in places, there would need to far more latches to ensure a tight seal everywhere. I hadn't made any effort to properly deflate the mat inside for this video either so there was a bit of upward pressure on the lid. The fabric inside is waterproof still so the sleeping area is going to remain dry.
If you are in really wet weather I'd recommend using a pump to deflate the mat completely so the lid seals tightly all the way around, and avoid too much bedding inside to reduce the upward pressure on the lid.

Did you keep it on your car Ben, interested to know if it drove okay/ weight was noticeable?

I've had it on my car for the last 1-2 weeks, it is the same weight as the flat bed roof rack I took off my car to install the rooftop tent, so no noticeable difference. If anything it would be quieter on the highway as there wouldn't be as much noise going through all the roof rack rails. ~ Ben

That rtt looks so thin you cant leave bedding in it. Can you store the ladder in it?

No ladder, but you can fit bedding inside, check out the other videos we have shot where we demo this. ~ Ben
