I've been working with Drew at their affiliate in the USA, Mid-Tennessee Diesel, and he's built an awesome custom tune for me. My E320 CDI with OM648 is running beautifully and getting great hp and torque gains. I'm still using the Lithuanian hybrid turbo I built, but Drew had the flexibility to make it all work great!
great video, I really look forward to every video you drop! But to clarify a question I didn't really seem to find a answer in the video. When you buy your ecu and then lets say 1 year later want to make more changes to your 320cdi like bigger turbo, injectors and all that comes in between what do I have to do to get new tune for my ecu? Do I need to buy your "software file" and tell you what I have done for changes and you then ship that thing in the picture and I plug it into the car?? Or do you change the software for free when I buy your ecu?
There is no software, and there is a load of information on the internet. This ECU is just as same as other EDC15 ecus. So there is no software like you would think in standalone units. They will read the ECU and modify the file (WinOls). They will then reprogram the ECU. So the ECU is the same which have the EDC15 ECU, nothing is different from the hardware side. You would think that 750-800€ then is stupidly priced for OEM ECUs, but they are priced that way because these ECUs are not easiest to tune for normal hobbyers. Yes, the EDC15 is the easiest platform as I know but it will still require a lot of effort and understanding of the fundamental functions of the diesel engine and the maps. You need to provide your engine config to bsr so they can map the ecu correctly according to the specs. There are some standalone options that are made to be tuned by the user, but I would not recommend them from my experience. Baldur DID1 is one option, it is more expensive and in my experience A LOT worse than EDC15. Why is it worse? It is way simpler in overall hardware and in functions, for example, EDC15 if I remember correctly has a max of 3 injection events, EDC16 5(?).DID1 has only 1 There were also 2 engines that blew up with DID1 when running, which caused bearing issues. After Baldur made a firmware update the issue was gone. So overall this BSR ECU is fairly priced and far more better option. You can learn to program these units by yourself but it will take hundreds or even thousands of hours to understand it completely. For the user, the installation is also easy. Plug and play as they say, no immo etc etc. Also as a person who is interested a lot in ECUS and has been able to fundamentally understand the ECUs in gasoline engines, I tried to also take the path to Winols and CDi engines. Let's say that the path is long and rocky, I might have spent around 100 hours just reading and trying to understand the EDC and its functions. Over 2000 pages to read from one source. Then you need to understand Winols, find the maps by yourself or get DAMOS, learn idapro for more complex work etc, etc. Then you also need to learn to reflash the units without bricking them(MPPS usually works for edc15 and is somewhat reliable and easy). From my heart, hats off to the people who tune these ecu's. It is a lot of work and being able to tune the files by yourselves shows that you fundamentally understand the workings of the engine
Hi could you tell me the differances between 613 and 648 im about to buy an engine but dont no which one to go for is one more reliable than the other thanks
Like a software for modifying the ecu yourself? Unfortunately that's not include but if you meant the ecu software itself that's included and tuned for the car you specify.
@@aergaetrhethaergertha2099Yes you just have to get programmer for flashing the new file. Unfortunately we don't have programmer to sell but there is a lot of options for that

I would prefer a software overview. There is absolutely nothing to find about this ecu.
Maybe a setup guide as a video would be useful.😉
Thanks for the idea 👍🏼

Hope you guys can sell some of these. I'm still saving money...
I’d be interested to know if this would work with a om651
Ennen viritettiin pappatunturit kaasaria viilammalla , nykyään viritetään mercedeksiä etänä. :O
Kyllä sitä kaasariakin voi viilata (ja osin pitääkin), mutta kyllä pyttyä "viilaamalla" pääsee parempiin tuloksiin...😅😇

Can this ecu run newer type om648 injectors or do I have to fit om613 injectors to my engine?
It can run both, just let us know which ones you have 👍🏼

Would this work if i wanted to manual swap my brabus om648 e320cdi?
Yes, you just send email about your combination and they make ecu for it...that strange language is rally english widely spoken in Finland
@Urs4 I'm from the uk but I could always try find away to translate to finish :) thank you 😊
Is not always good to try achieve maximum power, you need understand how all works and make good calculations to get best output and no smoke
Works for om612 ?
Yes aswell👍
I wrote a email and Facebook message a year ago. I sent another Facebook message. Hopefully you reply this time
