Turn on the closed captions for this video. It had me cracking up. That being said, I was 13-14 years old for this storm and loved every minute of it.

I had a lifted 4X4 at the time with 33" offroad tires that made me one of the few at the time who could even move in that storm. I recall driving around 481 from where it starts south of Syracuse all the way up to Oswego, where I lived at the time. There was in places cars just abandoned and you had to slalom around them and in places I was the only vehicle out there and driving over drifts that I wasn't sure if I was driving over cars or not. Good times. Then again, I was in Oswego when they got just over 11' in a week, snow to me and those in the snow belt is no big deal.

After hearing the EBS, my parents left a day early on their vacation. I watched my sister while they were gone. I remember spending all day the Monday after the storm, shoveling the driveway so my parents could pull in. I couldn't throw the snow any higher.

I was 10. Our entire side street was COMPLETELY blocked in for most of the day. The plows make snow banks so high, you could easily climb to the top and touch the phone wires.

This is pretty funny stuff!...Especially since I was living in Columbus at the time and we were laughing at Syracuse while watching the Weather Channel.

I had just turned 14 that year. It was a day or so after my B-day. I'll never forget it.

Yep, I was there too. I remember it well. I remember being out in the driveway helping my mom shovel as much as we could. The snow bank in front of the house had to have been 6ft tall. I remember climbing it, hehe.

I've seen this video a few times before and I crack up with the captions. I remember it VERY well. But honestly the blizzard of 66 was worse. But the blizzard of 93 was hard in the cities. Just another bad storm in northern CNY.

I Lived in Auburn NY, and my Daughter was a 9 Months Old. I was living Paycheck to Paycheck just getting by.
I knew storm was coming I didn't have money to go get food. As the power went I bundled my daughter up and walked to my parents home for food and warmth. Was I Scared. No I had to think Survival. The neighbor across the Street had a tractor and plowed the long Driveway for us to re-enter. My Husband was picked up for work by Snowmobiles.

I was working at a hotel that Saturday night, and had a choice. Walk home in the 18 inches that fell already or stay in the hotel with a bunch of co-workers. I walked home, while they became stuck at work for 3 days lol. Stranded hotel guests, distressed passenger's from the airport, all stuck, and those 20+ co-workers who stayed soon regretted it.

What is the deal with the text at the bottom? The intent is supposed to be to help the hearing impaired. It makes this almost into a comedy.
