Tax breaks don’t require money. People who build businesses make a lot of money. You want to take away the reward of creating jobs what incentive is there to keep going? Governments have plenty of money it is just used unwisely. If it is privatized and regulated, it becomes much more efficient and far less money used.

actually it depends on the operation and if lets say quite a large chunk of people on waiting list are for transplants then it's only natural that wait times are longer as people are living longer every generation but you will still have people with genetic illnesses, accidents and stupid people who end up needing a transplant but with people living longer and only a few organs being viable to transplant from a living person makes it so there are less organs for transplants. What I'm saying is unless you know what the 4 million people are waiting for operations are actually waiting for then you have no idea if it's something funding the NHS will help as you can't make organs appear from thin air and at least where i live you usually only have to wait about a week from being recommended to getting an appointment with a surgeon and then usually up to a month after that so long as it's not something that needs immediate care. If it's not an important surgery then you also have to expect that your appointment may be moved for someone that is in higher need than you.
By and large they seem to agree with the fact that the rich don’t pay enough, but as soon as they are confronted with an alternative that includes them having to pay more, they become antagonistic. It’s odd. It’s also strange that they actually see themselves as a positive force on the economy, when all they do is move money around and abroad to tax havens. Nothing new - rich people prefer to preserve what they have. I don't agree with them spreading these false claims i.e. rich will leave, jobs will be lost etc, just so they can make Labour look like the boogieman. Relatively higher taxes do not alienate practically any rich people. The indifference between 35% and 40% if we apply it as a marginal tax rate (say all of your income over 100,000 used to get taxed at 35%, now it will be 40%) is minimal - nobody in their right mind would say they're now leaving the UK because their tax bill went up 5k if they were making 200k a year.

UK GDP today is the highest it's ever been and it keeps on growing as it always has. Therefore if we could afford a decent NHS, education system and other public services 10, 20 years ago, we can afford it now. Don't be fooled by the "we can't afford it" narrative.
If wealthy people are hoarding their money offshore, not paying their taxes, not spending their money in Britain, then what is the value of having them here anyway? The small businessman and man at the end are sensible. The trickle down effect doesn't work, which is why we have people eating from Food Banks in what is meant to be the 5th richest country in the world. The rich either have to adapt and do their bit the same as everyone else, or leave and we won;t miss them. Scandinavian countries have similar social democrat policies to the Labour Party and those countries aren't exactly struggling.
For most of us on low or lower incomes, it's not the income tax that's the real problem, it's all the indirect taxes that are so unfair. As a billionaire for example still pays the same 20% vat the same fuel duty, tv licence, road fund tax etc etc as someone on say £20000 per annum gross. And some economists are saying now In the UK the lower payed are actually paying more in tax as a percentage of their income than the higher payed, this was worked out using the ONS statistics,,I guess that's when you take into account all the indirect taxes. And incedently it was the tories since 2010 that put the vat up to 20 %
The problem is, the general public believe that one day they will too become part of the “Rich” so they side with them more easily. The job of the Tories is to keep that dream of the layman become part of the Rich, to keep perpetuating that dream that ambition. The thing that confuses me is that if people in England already pay out of pocket for prescriptions, how is it going to cost any more to nationalise it - it’ll actually decrease the cost for the overwhelming majority as there will no longer be third party profiteers nor the super poor not receiving their prescription. The people at the top always ask where the money is coming from when it’s money that won’t benefit them - it’s like taking out of a system all your life, a leech, using the NHS, education, police protection, military defence etc, and refusing to give back solely because you made it to the top one way or another. There’s an optimum tax level. If you tax too much the “rich” will simply move their money away. If you tax too little you won’t get any money. A Labour Government under Corbyn would cripple the economy and business, which will then effect the general public. Labour's figures are not fully costed. If McDonall says that it will cost 20bn to nationalise BT, then the Boss at BT says it would cost more like 100bn, how do we know that the labour economic plan hasn't massively underestimated other figures in their calculations. Forcing businesses to pay their staff more will increase prices of the goods they sell back to us. That is all well and good as we have more money to spend because of the increase in the minimum wage. However, an increase of business tax will drive the prices of sold goods further resulting in us paying more for commodities (in relation to wages) compared to before. This will mostly effect those of the working class who struggle financially. Labour are not for the many, they are for the few. Also, like Andrew Neil pointed out in Corbyn's horror interview, Labour will rely too heavily on the rich for their main income. The problem with this is that relying on fewer and fewer people as you seek more money from the top will make your economic plan more volatile and not predictable as it only takes a couple thousand of the wealthy to relocate themselves or their funds outside the UK and BAM there goes 1/16th of your income.

What I'm saying is unless you know what the 4 million people are waiting for operations are actually waiting for then you have no idea if it's something funding the NHS will help as you can't make organs appear from thin air and at least where i live you usually only have to wait about a week from being recommended to getting an appointment with a surgeon and then usually up to a month after that so long as it's not something that needs immediate care. If it's not an important surgery then you also have to expect that your appointment may be moved for someone that is in higher need than you.

The Gentleman at the end was a man with principles. He understands the importance of funding public services, even if it hurts his bottom line.
By and large they seem to agree with the fact that the rich don’t pay enough, but as soon as they are confronted with an alternative that includes them having to pay more, they become antagonistic. I don't agree with them spreading these false claims i.e. rich will leave, jobs will be lost etc, just so they can make Labour look like the boogieman. Relatively higher taxes do not alienate practically any rich people. The indifference between 35% and 40% if we apply it as a marginal tax rate (say all of your income over 100,000 used to get taxed at 35%, now it will be 40%) is minimal - nobody in their right mind would say they're now leaving the UK because their tax bill went up 5k if they were making 200k a year.

For most of us on low or lower incomes, it's not the income tax that's the real problem, it's all the indirect taxes that are so unfair. As a billionaire for example still pays the same 20% vat the same fuel duty, tv licence, road fund tax etc etc as someone on say £20000 per annum gross. And some economists are saying now In the UK the lower payed are actually paying more in tax as a percentage of their income than the higher payed, this was worked out using the ONS statistics,,I guess that's when you take into account all the indirect taxes. The thing that confuses me is that if people in England already pay out of pocket for prescriptions, how is it going to cost any more to nationalise it - it’ll actually decrease the cost for the overwhelming majority as there will no longer be third party profiteers nor the super poor not receiving their prescription. The people at the top always ask where the money is coming from when it’s money that won’t benefit them - it’s like taking out of a system all your life, a leech, using the NHS, education, police protection, military defence etc, and refusing to give back solely because you made it to the top one way or another. It’s theft and it’s ethically wrong.

What about the bailouts the taxpayers had to burden ten years ago? Shouldn't that money be paid back to the people in the form of upgraded and new public infrastructures. The resulting feeling of achievement and extra money in the economy will boost public confidence and that will, in itself continue to fuel the economy. A vote for BJ & gang means a caveliering Brexit with everything on the table. I wonder if that also includes British overseas territories and strategic bases that Britain currently rents to the Americans. At least with Labour, they standing with the people. There’s an optimum tax level. If you tax too much the “rich” will simply move their money away. If you tax too little you won’t get any money. That’s why you shouldn’t just be like oh just tax the rich. You should invest in the economy and stop borrowing money and therefor you get more money. Simple.

A Labour Government under Corbyn would cripple the economy and business, which will then effect the general public. Labour's figures are not fully costed. If McDonall says that it will cost 20bn to nationalise BT, then the Boss at BT says it would cost more like 100bn, how do we know that the labour economic plan hasn't massively underestimated other figures in their calculations.
Forcing businesses to pay their staff more will increase prices of the goods they sell back to us. That is all well and good as we have more money to spend because of the increase in the minimum wage. However, an increase of business tax will drive the prices of sold goods further resulting in us paying more for commodities (in relation to wages) compared to before. This will mostly effect those of the working class who struggle financially. Labour are not for the many, they are for the few.
Also, like Andrew Neil pointed out in Corbyn's horror interview, Labour will rely too heavily on the rich for their main income. The problem with this is that relying on fewer and fewer people as you seek more money from the top will make your economic plan more volatile and not predictable as it only takes a couple thousand of the wealthy to relocate themselves or their funds outside the UK and BAM there goes 1/16th of your income.
