@@jupitarr I really appreciate that you're responding! From what you said, I suppose it is because people understand Mafuyu poorly. It really is what @AKIRA4tk said. Mafuyu is a complicated and uncommon character, so it is no surprise people misinterpret her. This just helped me realized that one of the story's point is trying to make sense of mafuyu's problem. It really is sad how mental illnesses is taken for granted. And even in this deliberate story trying to shed light on these situations, some people still misunderstand it. It was something that she lost gradually with time, the same way that becoming depressed is gradual. It likely wasn’t some huge sudden event- more like her slowly losing herself as she realized her entire life was an act meant to please other people and she didn’t actually have any source of happiness or personality
she didnt throw it away, she lost it as she was alw considered the good kid when she was young, and her mom would also control her life, making her into someone thats “perfect”, so she started assuming that if she followed what ppl wanted and they were happy, it meant she was doing the right thing, even if she wasnt, but gradually as she grew up she started to feel empty as what she was doing wasn what she wanted, but she didnt know what she wanted as well, which is what shes looking for right now, cuz the good kind kid is jsut an act to make others happy
@@iheartsunshine I feel like Ena is really important in speaking up where Kanade and Mizuki can’t, Kanade just isn’t the type to call Mafuyu out on some of her selfish choices and Mizuki is more of a level headed person, Ena’s bluntness is needed since she speaks up where the others wouldn’t, especially when it comes to Mafuyu hshshss

Yes also ena! I'm pretty sure those people who mischaractezing them 100% didn't read or understand the story
Can I please ask in what way are they mischaracterized?

Question: if the English version of pjsekai is out, will u still post??
They will probably translate events that aren’t out in English after the band stories are complete, since English version is still a little while away
It makes me want to ask her, if she want to find her true self, then why did she throw it away at first place?
I don’t think she threw it away. She was most likely forced to keep up the act of the perfect kid for so long that she lost her true self naturally.
Even so, what happen that makes her lost it? Did something happen in her childhood?
It was something that she lost gradually with time, the same way that becoming depressed is gradual. It likely wasn’t some huge sudden event- more like her slowly losing herself as she realized her entire life was an act meant to please other people and she didn’t actually have any source of happiness or personality
