Haven't read any of these books since I was in 4th grade, thought there were only like 4 books back then, had NO IDEA there were this many!!! great video ^ ^
For me this is my list: 1. Dawn Of The Clans: I know it has some problems but I just love it. Seeing them make the clans was very cool and finding the territory was nice. And I am also one of the few who likes Thunder as much as Gray Wing and Clear Sky and I also do kinda like the villains One Eye and Slash. 2. The Prophecies Begin: So much happens here that is exiting! Brokenstar, Tigerstar and Bloodclan all in one arc! There is seriously a battle in every book! The only reason that it is in second place is because I likes Dawn Of The Clans more. 3. A Vision Of Shadows: I think the first three books are pretty good, especially the third book which is one of my favorites in the entire series. Also Hawkwings Journey is amazing. The latter half is some of the most boring stuff ever in the series but Darktail is my favorite villain in Warriors so I try to ignore the boring books. 4. Power Of Three: Book one, four and five are pretty good in my opinion and book six is okay. I think this arc is kinda boring sometimes where not much happens but when things happen it is cool. I also likes the characters, yes even Lionblaze although he is my least favorite he is okay, and I think this arc together with Omen Of The Stars and the arcs before them has a point for making me feel like I know all the cats in the clan while now I barely know how many cats there is. 5. The New Prophecy: I think the story of them being forced to move away from the forest is pretty cool and interesting but I do miss the forest and I think the lake is not as cool of a place. The characters where not my favorite but I think they are fine. The later half was cool at first with them finding places in their new home and all of the books has good finales but they are also dragged out. 6. Omen Of The Stars: The problem with Omen Of The Stars is that the first five books felt like just filler for the Great Battle. I think Omen Of The Stars has good characters, especially Jayfeather and Ivypool, and good side characters like Briarlight but it could honestly have been just three books and it probably should have or have more stuff in the books rather than just walking. The final book is great though! 7. The Broken Code: In no way do I think this arc is bad and I could potentially see me put it higher but it suffers from one thing, I don’t like the characters. This was when I really got annoyed that the main characters had to be so young when we start a new arc. It was okay in Power Of Three and Omen Of The Stars and in A Vision Of Shadows it was annoying with Alderheart but made sense for the others so it was fine. And I also know this is a hot take but I don’t like that we have main characters in the other clans. I love that we get to spend more time in other clans but it will always be overshadowed by all the history with Thunderclan and so many characters we have spent time with there. However Thunderclan has so many characters that I honestly don’t recognize it anymore. But sadly we don’t get to know many background characters from the other clans as well. But the villain was cool
I agree that Dawn of the clans is the second best series other than the original run. It was so exciting to read, i read it right as it was coming out!
here’s my list, feel free to debate !! if i remember i’ll maybe add a starless clan once it finishes 1. Prophecies begin. yeahhhh i don’t need to explain. i’ll always remember lil 9 year old me going “wow cool cat books!!!!! i love firepaw!!!!!!111!!1” 2. a vision of shadows. Alright, hear me out- the first three books were GOLD, darktail was interesting to read about, needletail and violetshine had a friendship unlike anything else in all the books, and alderheart has won me over as one of warriors’ most relatable characters to me. i AGREE the latter half could be better, but twigbranch was actually SUPER INTERESTING as a character and kept me reading. she had multiple character arcs including wondering which clan she belongs in, feeling the need to catch up after restarting her apprenticeship like three times, standing up for herself about not wanting kits, and dealing with flywhisker as a difficult apprentice. violetshine had interesting dynamics with needle & later with tree but other than that is super forgettable. alderheart and twigbranch have got to be some of my favorite protags though 3. the broken code. it’s very different from the rest of the books, and it’s just… good. what else can i say? I like rootspring, he’s another fav protagonist of mine, and it was fun to see ashfur come back as a familiar villain. it feels like a fanfic (in a good way) 4. dawn of the clans. i ADMIT i didn’t even read dotc lol, just mainly looked at all the spoilers n stuff online. but it’s interesting! not my favorite, but i see why other people like it a lot. graywing and slate were a neat romance, and i absolutely love windrunner/windstar (but i may be biased considering mothflight’s super edition is my favorite. shocking, right?!) 5. the new prophecy. the back half of the books were super boring, but cinderpelt’s death left me WRECKED the first time i read it. i love cinderpelt sm and was just in utter shock. meanwhile in the first half, the cats making the journey was really fun to read. they were just kinda like,,, a friendgroup, ya know ?? 6. power of three. this and omen of the stars are almost tied for last place, but i’m putting power of three a tier up because the OG three are some of the most memorable in the entire series (even if i don’t like lionblaze that much-). They’re all just iconic in the fandom as well as the infamous fire scene. Yes, this was an objectively bad arc, but it’s also iconic. 7. omen of the stars. OOTS and POT are basically just one big arc connected with each other imo. i feel like dovewing suffered from Boring Female Protagonist Syndrome and ivypool in the dark forest wasn’t THAT interesting. jayfeather was okay and lionblaze was an NPC the entire time. but there were some interesting things like the dove/tiger romance, hollyleaf comin back, my amazing babie BRIARLIGHTTTTT and of course firestar was heartbreaking at the end. it truly was the end of an era… (and now they have bramblefart as leader aka my least favorite character. thank goodness that the girlboss squilf is leader now)
Ok the first three books in AVOS are pretty good, (other than the last three books which suck, there like filler books) But they wouldn't be last for me. Also can you make "Ranking Warrior Cats Clans" I would love to see your opinion! This is mine: Shadow, River, Sky, Thunder, Wind
I also take everything any background or minor character does or says. And take elements from their past or life and think of how that could have affected them. So I like many more characters than most people. For example I look heathertail. And all her interactions in the books. And built her character in my head. And did that with almost everyone else on my list...
Personally i think the new prophecy is more engaging in the second half with it being equal quality to the other arcs. Also i liked dawn of the clans second half aldoe it would probably be better if they stretched out the first half more.
alrighty time to break out the ranking first a note though: im very heavily influenced by what my favourite books are, (the last hope, a light in the mist, forest of secrets, etc) so this is more “which series has the best high point” 1: the broken code, as i said in the note, a light in the mist is one of my favourite books, and my favourite main series book (my entire top 5 is super editions but alitm is 7th place), part of why i love it so much is that it actually left an impact on me. i fucking cried. i LOVED bristlefrost so much and her end just hurts even now that im thinking back on it, besides alitm the rest of the series is like fine i guess, if alitm is a 10/10 the rest of the series is a 6/10 imposter was kinda obvious (though i will admit i wasn’t entirely sure until good ‘ol moonkitti made a funny video about the imposter and it became insanely obvious) oh and the other POV’s sure did exist, i legit had to sit and think for a solid 20 seconds on who the other pov was cause i forgot shadowsight was there 2: the prophecy’s begin, its the classic series, though the first book i actually read was the sight, not into the wild so i dont have that same nostalgia factor about it, but like there is a reason its so high on everybody’s lists, as i said i really like forest of secrets, not much i can actually say beyond that without repeating everybody else ok i was gonna keep on with the numbered ranking until i realized all the middle spots blend together so imma just go over them in release order: power of three, as i said i started with the sight, but besides the jayfeather chapters theres nothing interesting about these books, i guess lionpaw being like “i cant enjoy honey” was funny omen of the stars, another as i said is that i really like the last hope, but besides that the other books are also super meh, jayfeather is still jayfeather so thats good, and ivypool in the first half was good, but i feel like she got kinda pushed aside after she got the role of a spy, like i know it wouldn’t go like i imagine it would but like imagine a evil POV character, or even just “bad but saved by power of love” type thing dawn of the clans, honestly i remember enjoying the books, but thats all i remember, the entire series has this problem where i just cant get myself to sit down and reread them, if i want a largely disconnected story from the rest of the books i’d just read skyclans destiny i didnt know where to add this so im putting it here: a starless clan, i havent read it, but from what ive gathered from youtube, seems pretty good, might be refreshing if i go and read it now back to number ranking for the bottom 2 6: the new prophecy, so remember how i said im ranking this based on the high points kinda, ya the new prophecy’s high point is the final book, and only during the climax with firestar in the trap, i feel like hawkfrost was a super wasted character while he was alive (redeemed himself for how good he was in death though) like hawkfrost doesnt invoke fear in me, theres no “whats this dude plotting” type feelings, heck he barely did anything notable besides fake a sign and almost kill fireman and yet somehow he gets one of the most gruesome deaths, the rest of the series and the rest of the final book are just so mediocre, like 3/10 territory but hey, atleast i remember stuff about it 7: a vision of shadows, obvious choice i know, but its not because if any bad plot decisions or character writing, I WOULD HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENS IN IT TO HAVE ANY OPINIONS ON THAT, like god besides his name and the communism thing i remember nothing about darktail, before watching this video i was gonna make a ranking but i legit couldn’t remember anything about avos so i ditched that, watched the video and got a refresher on the series, its just so forgettable honourable mention: super editions and novella’s, as i said my entire top 5 is super editions (crookedstar, tallstar, bluestar, skyclan, bramblestar), so if you could count super editions as a series then it would be #1, meanwhile the novella’s sure do exist, like lets bereal besides mapleshade and spottedleaf does anybody even care about the novella’s?
I absolutely cannot agree with Dawn of the Clans being number 2. The idea is cool, and First Battle is good for the most part. But Clear Sky is just so frustrating with how they deal with his redemption, and Grey Wing is even worse because most of his chapters are just him defending Clear Sky's actions. Thunder is alright though. There's also the constant fridging of the love interests. I'm honestly surprised that Star Flower, Slate, and Violet Dawn lived past book 6.
The later half of DotC isnt great I admit. And Clear Sky's redemption is really bad (future video?). The 1st half just pushes it ahead for me personally
Sorry for making more then one comment but I also disagree with the second arc being in number 3. It's better then arcs 3 and 4 (and dotc). I like Squirrelflight a lot, she's a funny little brat in this arc but also matures over the course of the arc. Leafpool is really boring, and so is Stormfur. Brambleclaw just feels like he's trying to be Firestar but is also just frustratingly stupid. There are some great moments in this arc! I like the Mudclaw stuff, I like Cinderpelt's death too. There's also Hawkfrost, who is just such a bland villain. He feels like he's trying to be Tigerstar but is just so obviously evil that it falls flat. His death is fun though but it's followed by the arc's goofy ending
I'm only on the broken code book 2 but on my gosh it is so good so far I'm not a big fan of rootpaw/rootspring but bristlefrost is so good I hate her and stemleaf drama but besides that her character is wonderful shadowsight and the clans not really liking him was not the best plot point but besides that his character is alright so far i also don't really like how rootpaw/rootspring was always looming over bristlefrost but the broken code is alriggt so far
I feel like if it wasn’t for hollykit lion kit and jay kit people would straight up forget leafpaw and crow paw were ever mates like all of a sudden they both randomly like each other the only lead up to that being cinderpelt kinda calling it Then like 2 seconds after the cliff where they confessed they are running away together????? But that’s not even the worst because then they barely even get time to run away like they had barely set off when midnight found them and they went home So their whole time running away took place in like 3 days I feel like it would Of been better if they were gone for longer because then it would be more interesting since cinderpelt would be very stressed knowing she was gonna die and it would give the clan something to worry about like when bramble and squirrel left Over all I feel like they could of done way more with leafpool and crow feather But no they decided to carry it over into the next arc which I like and dislike at the same time
@@theblueblazing ya that makes sense because when reading leaf paw and crow paw running away I was super happy at the drama and I loved the twist then they turn back like nothing happened??
@@galaxy_creature8515 overall, not executed as well as it could have. When I reread Arc 2, I'll definitely make a point to look at their relationship more closely
@@theblueblazing ya i actually just recently found your channel and I’m binging your prophecy, begins rants so I was wondering if you were gonna bring it up when/if you do the same thing with the new prophecy
I was trying to find what books to sell so thank you. Also I have quit reading the books bc they were labeled as furry books and have actually gave me bad “furry habits”-I loved the books when I was younger tho and I think lionblaze could have been better
Mine: - Prophecy begins. Just epic. - Power of Three. Jayfeather interesting. Past cats interesting. Siblings ok. Sol interesting but i also kinda hate him. - The New Prophecy. I can't STAND Squirelfight. Crowfeather is pretty unlikeable. Tribe cats & journey interesting. - Omen of Stars. Maybe i was burnt out... But everyone besides Jay (and on occasion Lionblaze) bored me to death. MOST of all Dovewing, i perfered Hollyleaf by miles. Felt he randomly gaining a power woulda been better.
@christopheroberembt5285 that's on my to read list. Also update. Power of 3 not as great 2nd time, but still enjoyed certain bits. I never gave holly & Lion enough credit. (yes i like Lion Blaze a bit. I find all 3 relatable). 1st book of Omen was good. 1st book of Dawn was aight. But predictable alota times.
Mine 1 Prophecies begin. Do i have to explain? 2. omen of the stars Uhhhh 3 the power of three What even happened here 4. Dawn of the clans one word. D I S A P O I N T I N G 5. The new prophecy Bad protagonist, bad story, live the forest territories, what even happened after the 3 books?- My opinion and the rest uh haven’t read yet
One of my complaints with power of 3 is because cats do stuff out of character like cloudtail forgetting about brighthart when in the first arc he worked day and night for her to become a warrior
It's cliché in the sense that it's constantly being used to describe things in the current day (remakes, reboots, redesigns, etc.) Like that's the only reason it's 'bad, instead of critical or fundamental issues the thing may have on its own.
My list: 1. Vision of the shadows 2. The new prophecy 3. A starless clan 4. The prophecy begins (Have not read but have seen videos and have heard good things about it) 5. Dawn of the clans 6. The Broken Code 7. The omen of the stars(Have not read this yet) 8. The Power of the three Edit:After I read every series My new list: 1. Vision of Shadows 2.The New prophecy 3. A Starless Clan 4. Dawn Of The Clans 5. Prophecy Begins 6. Omen Of The Stars 7. The Broken Code 8. The Power Of Three
@@pawmeat to be honest, probably. I haven't fully completed TBC, I just put it where I thought it might end up. But after reading a bit more it'll probably end up being higher.
I think you're letting nostalgia cloud your judgement. DOTC is better than the OG series and New Prophecy should be way lower. The first three books are traveling books.
@@Luna.Lupa. That's objectively not true. There's an attempt at character development in every book of the first half of the first half, although as usual with Warriors, it's not very good. Plus, a book can be focused more on external threats, that's not necessarily a flaw. I will take a book focusing on a genuinely menacing external threat over a book focusing on pointless and forced melodrama any day.

alrighty time to break out the ranking
first a note though: im very heavily influenced by what my favourite books are, (the last hope, a light in the mist, forest of secrets, etc) so this is more “which series has the best high point”
1: the broken code, as i said in the note, a light in the mist is one of my favourite books, and my favourite main series book (my entire top 5 is super editions but alitm is 7th place), part of why i love it so much is that it actually left an impact on me. i fucking cried. i LOVED bristlefrost so much and her end just hurts even now that im thinking back on it, besides alitm the rest of the series is like fine i guess, if alitm is a 10/10 the rest of the series is a 6/10 imposter was kinda obvious (though i will admit i wasn’t entirely sure until good ‘ol moonkitti made a funny video about the imposter and it became insanely obvious) oh and the other POV’s sure did exist, i legit had to sit and think for a solid 20 seconds on who the other pov was cause i forgot shadowsight was there
2: the prophecy’s begin, its the classic series, though the first book i actually read was the sight, not into the wild so i dont have that same nostalgia factor about it, but like there is a reason its so high on everybody’s lists, as i said i really like forest of secrets, not much i can actually say beyond that without repeating everybody else
ok i was gonna keep on with the numbered ranking until i realized all the middle spots blend together so imma just go over them in release order:
power of three, as i said i started with the sight, but besides the jayfeather chapters theres nothing interesting about these books, i guess lionpaw being like “i cant enjoy honey” was funny
omen of the stars, another as i said is that i really like the last hope, but besides that the other books are also super meh, jayfeather is still jayfeather so thats good, and ivypool in the first half was good, but i feel like she got kinda pushed aside after she got the role of a spy, like i know it wouldn’t go like i imagine it would but like imagine a evil POV character, or even just “bad but saved by power of love” type thing
dawn of the clans, honestly i remember enjoying the books, but thats all i remember, the entire series has this problem where i just cant get myself to sit down and reread them, if i want a largely disconnected story from the rest of the books i’d just read skyclans destiny
i didnt know where to add this so im putting it here: a starless clan, i havent read it, but from what ive gathered from youtube, seems pretty good, might be refreshing if i go and read it
now back to number ranking for the bottom 2
6: the new prophecy, so remember how i said im ranking this based on the high points kinda, ya the new prophecy’s high point is the final book, and only during the climax with firestar in the trap, i feel like hawkfrost was a super wasted character while he was alive (redeemed himself for how good he was in death though) like hawkfrost doesnt invoke fear in me, theres no “whats this dude plotting” type feelings, heck he barely did anything notable besides fake a sign and almost kill fireman and yet somehow he gets one of the most gruesome deaths, the rest of the series and the rest of the final book are just so mediocre, like 3/10 territory but hey, atleast i remember stuff about it
7: a vision of shadows, obvious choice i know, but its not because if any bad plot decisions or character writing, I WOULD HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENS IN IT TO HAVE ANY OPINIONS ON THAT, like god besides his name and the communism thing i remember nothing about darktail, before watching this video i was gonna make a ranking but i legit couldn’t remember anything about avos so i ditched that, watched the video and got a refresher on the series, its just so forgettable
honourable mention: super editions and novella’s, as i said my entire top 5 is super editions (crookedstar, tallstar, bluestar, skyclan, bramblestar), so if you could count super editions as a series then it would be #1, meanwhile the novella’s sure do exist, like lets bereal besides mapleshade and spottedleaf does anybody even care about the novella’s?
I think the first three books of Dawn of the Clans are some of the best warriors books. The last three however......are some of the worst.
I agree with many of your points. I don't even really consider TNP 'good', just average. Painfully average.
Ah my friend so you have chosen war.
It's okay to not yet have realized the greatness that is hollyleaf. 😅
I can only see warrior cats games and shorts why because im scaired of blood
😮but I love power of three😅vision of shadow is truly a nightmare
I'm only on the broken code book 2 but on my gosh it is so good so far I'm not a big fan of rootpaw/rootspring but bristlefrost is so good I hate her and stemleaf drama but besides that her character is wonderful shadowsight and the clans not really liking him was not the best plot point but besides that his character is alright so far i also don't really like how rootpaw/rootspring was always looming over bristlefrost but the broken code is alriggt so far
I feel like if it wasn’t for hollykit lion kit and jay kit people would straight up forget leafpaw and crow paw were ever mates like all of a sudden they both randomly like each other the only lead up to that being cinderpelt kinda calling it
Then like 2 seconds after the cliff where they confessed they are running away together????? But that’s not even the worst because then they barely even get time to run away like they had barely set off when midnight found them and they went home
So their whole time running away took place in like 3 days
I feel like it would Of been better if they were gone for longer because then it would be more interesting since cinderpelt would be very stressed knowing she was gonna die and it would give the clan something to worry about like when bramble and squirrel left
Over all I feel like they could of done way more with leafpool and crow feather
But no they decided to carry it over into the next arc which I like and dislike at the same time
Knowing that originally Arc 2 was 'apparently' supposed to be only 3 books really shows there ngl
@@galaxy_creature8515 1000%
I was trying to find what books to sell so thank you. Also I have quit reading the books bc they were labeled as furry books and have actually gave me bad “furry habits”-I loved the books when I was younger tho and I think lionblaze could have been better
Mine:
- Prophecy begins.
Mine
1 Prophecies begin.
Do i have to explain?
2. omen of the stars
Uhhhh
3 the power of three
What even happened here
4. Dawn of the clans
one word. D I S A P O I N T I N G
5. The new prophecy
Bad protagonist, bad story, live the forest territories, what even happened after the 3 books?-
My opinion and the rest uh haven’t read yet
One of my complaints with power of 3 is because cats do stuff out of character like cloudtail forgetting about brighthart when in the first arc he worked day and night for her to become a warrior
Nooooooo I love vision of shadows 2nd and 3rd book (the first one I also like but the other three were a bit mid)
What do you mean it’s cliché too say the originals were better? Tons of original things are better than new things.
It's cliché in the sense that it's constantly being used to describe things in the current day (remakes, reboots, redesigns, etc.) Like that's the only reason it's 'bad, instead of critical or fundamental issues the thing may have on its own.
My list:
1. Vision of the shadows
2. The new prophecy
3. A starless clan
4. The prophecy begins (Have not read but have seen videos and have heard good things about it)
5. Dawn of the clans
6. The Broken Code
7. The omen of the stars(Have not read this yet)
8. The Power of the three
Edit:After I read every series
My new list:
1. Vision of Shadows
2.The New prophecy
3. A Starless Clan
4. Dawn Of The Clans
5. Prophecy Begins
6. Omen Of The Stars
7. The Broken Code
8. The Power Of Three
How have you not read The prophecies begin and Omen of the stars but you did read A vision of shadows??? You should read arcs in order...
@@NemamIme123 Yeah no,I just read the books I see , I still understand everything so it’s fine for me.
Omen of stars is really good!!
@@Hotbox-Igoos Yes I have read it about a month or two ago I liked it .
TNP doesnt deserve the third place for me. the first three books are boring and reading Brambleclaw’s pov was… annoying.
And TBC should be at TNP’S place for me
@@pawmeat to be honest, probably. I haven't fully completed TBC, I just put it where I thought it might end up. But after reading a bit more it'll probably end up being higher.
@@theblueblazing I see, well i hope to see further updates then!
It's better to be boring at times than to be melodramatic and ridiculous like the second half of arc 2...
@@legrandliseurtri7495 yeah probably
I think you're letting nostalgia cloud your judgement.
DOTC is better than the OG series and New Prophecy should be way lower. The first three books are traveling books.
''the first three books are traveling books'' And that's the good part of the arc.
@@legrandliseurtri7495 the travelling was pointless and had no internal journey where the characters developed, it was only external
@@Luna.Lupa. That's objectively not true. There's an attempt at character development in every book of the first half of the first half, although as usual with Warriors, it's not very good.
Plus, a book can be focused more on external threats, that's not necessarily a flaw.
I will take a book focusing on a genuinely menacing external threat over a book focusing on pointless and forced melodrama any day.
wow this book series seems to...like kinda sucks? Sounds like the only thing worth it for a casual reading is the firsts series and the rest is kinda a mess
Dawn of the Clans isn't terrible, it merely slowly falls of after book 3 in my opinion. Still a pretty good arc overall
Yeah. It - does.
