Hey Melissa, I was born in Washington, DC, and was raised by my grandmother from South Carolina. We call it a hand buggy, because the carts are push buggys. One you carry in your hand and the other you push. A shopping cart is the wagon you use to bring the groceries home when you don't have a car.
