Sofia 1996

Neben Streckenaufnahmen besuchen wir die Depots Klokotniza, Krasna Poljana und auch Krasno Selo, wo heute die Firma Tramcar Straßenbahnwagen und Obusse produziert und modernisiert.
Noch vor der Eröffnung der Metro zeigen wir das Depot Obelja und die Station K. Welitschkow.

Nice shots, however they do not correspond to the title of this video - Sofia 1996. Old rounded car design of sofia's self made trams might have been present in form of the shown here repurpoused green service car, but I don't remember ever riding on such a tramcar on a regular service route since 1988/89 (I was young, girls used to live all of the city corners, jobs used to be everywhere from Rakovsky str. and Lege str. to Boyana and Bankya, so there wasnt a route I did not use back then).

I personally remember riding those old round ones in 1996 near the train station (I was in 7th grade). It was a huge contrast with the CKD which were on line 9 (since 1990/91) - going through my old neighborhood and also towards the train station. There were old round ones also on line 6, which used to split from line 9 right around my old neighborhood and I remember them going towards Spartak swimming center. I also remember riding the newer domestic trams through the forest towards Interpred. in 1997 we left the country so I don't know how long they had them for.

Последните трамваи в София бяха произведени по времето на тройната коалиция през 2005-2006 нископодови с рампа за инвалиди , все още се движат и са шедьовър набтрамвайния завод в София. В периода 2007-2010 Тиквата ликвидира трамвайния завод в София ...
