I knew Buddy way back in the day when his Mom was the best jazz teacher in Houston and my teacher, Margo Marshall was the top ballet teacher.....we shared venues and had joint performances and sometimes took class from top ballet company scouts. Funny, kind and unassuming, Buddy just wanted to be accepted and loved.

I know how pathetic this is going to sound, but my father abandoned me when I was a kid. I was nine.
Whenever I needed a dad (was sad, not feeling well, etc) I would watch one of Patrick Swayze's movies. Usually The Outsiders or City of Joy.
I always thought that if I could choose my own father, it would have been him.

She talked about it in a recent documentary and said it was so painful for him and one of his great disappointments that he never got be a father.

With so much of Hollywood being made up of a bunch of narcissistic, arrogant jerks why does it have to be one of the sweetest, most kind hearted, sincere men in the industry, with so much going for him and his dear wife, that gets a horrible disease and dies. It is so sad. The world is a lesser place without Patric. I can't imagine how much his Lisa misses him. 💔
