Balne Vintage Vehicle Run June 2023

This video features The Balne Vintage Vehicle Run which took place on a beautiful day in June.
Rob & Lorraine Masters who started the event a few years ago have put together a great event for the local community which now sees entrants from all over Yorkshire and it has grown from a single day to a whole weekend of fun with some families camping onsite from Friday to Sunday.
The rest of the team did an excellent job in helping organise the event which started as handful of tractors and the odd car 4 or so years ago to nearly 100 attending nowadays.
There's too many volunteers to mention everybody and everyone's help is appreciated with setting up the site, but special thanks must go to Andy Leek, Rob Falkingham for on the day logistics and their wives Debby & Jenny who own the excellent local coffee shop The Kitchen who made sure on site catering was uptown scratch and finally a thank you goes to Tony Hewitt, Dave Lewis & Keith Collins.
The route covered several miles on mainly back roads to keep away from busy traffic so not to upset the local car drivers with the route punctuated with a stop for refreshments at The Baxters Arms.
The day was well supported with lots of local people coming out to wave and give to the chosen charity The Alzheimers Society.
There were tractors ranging from the 1940's to more modern stuff so there's something for everybody in this video from vintage tractors that have never seen a computer screen to some newer ones that you may remember from your child hood.
The same goes for the cars taking part with a Rolls Royce from around the 1920's to "The Saints Volvo P1 from the seventies" to Fast Fiesta's from the 80's similar to one I used to drive.
I hope I've caught all of them either from ground level or from above with my drone as they weaved their way along the route.
It was a 2 cameraman shoot to make sure we didn’t miss anything so thanks go to John “Tim Burton” Barker for his masses of ground camera footage for me to sift through and edit for many hours!!!!!
Alot of the machines were running on fuel supplied by me and Rix Petroleum.
