I can think of multiple times where I've researched and put a plan together and had everything ready to go just to ask a friend what they think and for them to tell me they could do it better. The thing is, even if that's true, they never ended up doing it at all, so I would have been better off actually following through with the idea.
And that's not even considering the overarching fact that these people saying they could do it better don't have any of the research or knowledge on the niche/audience that I gathered, but that's a whole other point that doesn't even matter after the first one I made.
I think this also feeds into my own advice I've come to terms with recently; most people have great ideas. You are not special because you have a good idea. You are special because you actually followed through on the idea. I thought I was special because I had 100 great ideas, yet I barely followed through on any of them. 99% of people don't follow through. All you have to do is follow through. And if it doesn't work? Try again.

It's crazy how much of this is "simple" advice - wear sunscreen, ask questions, don't be afraid to fail. But it's all also so real. I expected youtubers and streamers, like the top 1% of them, to all have crazier/less relatable advice.

i don't normally comment but hearing everyones advice, especially your mothers had me choked up. i lost my mom when i was 16 and i'd kill to hear her advice for me on my birthday. i think everyone should take a second and talk with their friends and loved ones and share our stories on how we've become who we are and how much we care about each other.

2 advices that I can give as a 20 year old are
1. Most people know whats best for them but ignore it. (You know junk food=bad but still eat it, skip workout cuz lazy, etc) They don't follow their own advice as well.
2. If you are worried, ask yourself this. Q: Can I do something about it? If yes then why are you worried? Go do it. If you cannot do anything about it then why worry?
The second one works for a lot of things. Just replace it with panic or something else.
And as you can guess, I don't follow my advices either. Wouldn't be in youtube comments giving advice If I did.
