Thanks for the cooking inspiration! Just ate a great dinner. Tuna, sticky rice, sauteed yellow squash and romaine salad with arugula, peeled tomatoes, carrots, onions, sweet watermelon chunks, etc. Made a sauce for the tuna with tamari, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar and sriracha.
For me I would cubed the Ahi with slice onions one tsp sesame oil one chili pepper with seaweed and green onions and the other piece Ahi sliced sashimi with hot mustard sauce yummy no need to fry them I can eat this 3 X a day 😋
Omg I do this same ceyenne tuna in a taco with a ceasar salad filling at my work and it’s so good! Shred the romaine tho! Imagine it as a cole slaw sub from a typical fish taco❤️
If you're cooking it more than rare you're not only cooking out the flavor but making it more fishy. Most people want well or medium well because they've never had good meat or fish.
watching the vid i came to the conclusion. if you know how to cook steak you know how to cook thick tuna, this would be great for ppl who dont like "raw" fish btu want una. cook the tuna to a good rare or medium rare, sounds delicious
Sushi grade, even when "fresh" has been previously frozen anyway so might as well buy the frozen anyway. That said, I have sushi grade ahimsa tuna steaks and I'm looking for a new good recipe. We all know the sesame seed crust which is delicious but overdone. I like mine medium. I have a gas stove and cook mine on med/high to slightly high heat for a minute on each side.
I think my taste buds must have something wrong with them... I tried this and it tasted like nothing. the meat was completely tasteless, and all i could taste was the sesame seeds and the outer cooked rim.
I have a raspy voice and never smoked a cigarette in my life. I was super self conscious of it when I was a kid… you’re foolish. But you know what they say about assumptions….

Finally I found someone that cooks this correctly. Thank you!
This is one of the quickest easiest most delicious ways to have great fish at home. I’m encouraging people to make this! Great demo!!
I will give it a try - thanks😊
I have frozen ahi tuna and i had no idea what to do with it, now i do 🙌🏼
i buy it frozen as well, at Sam's club... then i thaw it in the fridge for a day or two..
Fill the sink with water, weigh the frozen tuna down with a plate, and 20 minutes the tuna is thawed.
@@mistergrendel32exactly what I did today but with a pot. Needed something heavy lol

Thank you! Making this tonight.
Thank you. I just bought a couple of ahi tuna steaks, and I guarantee I would have overcooked them if I hadn't watched this video.

Best. Thank you!
Love this!
Good job
Can you show us how to make, a perfect salmon steak stovetop too!
❤😊
Looks yummy
Your good ! Thank you.
Is it wrong to cook it more towards medium? I like my food more cooked than raw.
If medium is wrong then how I like it is really wrong, I like all my food well done 😂
Even though it has that reddish, raw look in the center, it doesn’t taste raw. Ahi tuna is great and quick to prepare!
😜🤓
@@amandadunkerly7392 that will ruin an exceptional dish!

Shouldn't you dry the meat BEFORE adding the spices?
Yes, of course... 🤣

Sushi is not raw fish. It's anything rolled in rice and seaweed. You mean sashimi.
she needs to quit smoking
Awesome
Imagine how this girl is going to sound when she’s older. This is why I don’t smoke lmfao
Ugh wth? That’s very rude
Wait wtf did I mean by this comment lmfao 😂
