I'm in the Seattle area. I'm so sorry about your dad, my mom passed away in November of 2022, I cried for the first year at everything that reminded me of her. She was in hospice for a couple weeks before she died and I really admire anyone who does, or has done, that type of work. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2023 and I learned very quickly the importance of nurses who cared for me, so thank you for the work you do (did). My cancer is gone now, but it's been a tough road fully of chemo, surgery, radiation and hormone therapy and I'm still recovering. I love your dogs! We had a yellow lab for 13 years he was the best boy! I use scotch permanent glue stick and/or matte gel medium when making masterboards.
@@TammyVanAntwerpArt Ah Tammy I’m so sorry to hear about your loss as well. It’s such a big hole and so unsettling. Crafting is a great outlet for me and I hope it helps you too. I’m soooo glad you’re in remission!! Also, yes, will get more Scotch glue! ❤️
Hello 👋🏻 Colleen here, from Illinois! So sorry for the loss of your dad! My dad passed away 38 years ago. I come from a family you just move on. I did not mourn his death properly, but I do miss him everyday and crafting is my happy place. I use modge podge for my master boards. I enjoy all your videos! My mom appeared to me in a collage I made in a museum art room. I have been doing lots of drawing and painting since then. There is magic and healing in creating. Best wishes in your journey.

I am like you in that I cannot stand having gluey hands either. What I've learned is to keep a wet washrag somewhere close by so i can clean them off. Here in Virginia, we usually have HOT summers with very high humidity ~ UGH! My husband passed two years ago, just a few months after my sister. I am just beginning to climb out of the grief pit, so give yourself some grace. Hospice was, by far, the best thing we did! I enjoy your videos!
@@janicebrinson5940 Hi Janice. Yes, the grief pit../is another beast of its own. Such a rollercoaster. I’m sorry for your losses as well. Definitely a hole that just can’t be filled. Good idea for the rag as I really hate gluey fingers lol 🤗🎨
I would find me a cheaper glue to use on master boards. Save your expensive glues for tags, journals, etc.... just a suggestion. Hope it helps. 😊

Glue stick maybe? But you can’t go wrong with Art Glitter Glue.
Glue sticks I rarely rarely use. I just think they may rip the paper as my fingers get glue *sticked* together lol. But I’m still gonna try your recommendation!

@@patriciadistefano7467 He was unbelievable. And not just to me but to all my friends, community members etc. He had/has the highest kindest heart I’ve ever known. He died unexpectedly last July so it’s been absolutely devastating since.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Lost my roommate of almost 25 years on December 27, 2023. Her birthday was July 4th, and June 21st we scattered her ashes (me and her family). Hard times.

Have you tried UHU glue sticks? I use them for master boards and they’re permanent. And they don’t wrinkle up your paper. I like Art Glitter Glue for occasional small pieces, like scraps or embellishments, but it does take a lot of time to cover bigger pieces.
I do have UHU sticks. I’ve used them before and wasn’t entirely impressed but for this project I’ll give them a while again. I used them for something totally different.
I don't knowt he exact name for it but, I use a little scraper tool from dollar tree,found in the craft aisle, to smooth out my glue. Works great for any glue you choose.
@@joyann6914 Yes I have that set. I need a glue that spreads and works better than Elmer’s. Although I’m happy using the Art Glitter Glue too lol.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I wish I could have worked in hospice more. I did a little as a caregiver. Agree that crafting is like zen. It's been good to me. Here in WV. I'd love to see you do raspberries!❤ Doggie gas ain't wonderful!
