  • Watch along as Tyler Buchheit shows you how to replace the radiator core in your tractor. Tyler completes the project on his John Deere 630 but the process can be used on any of the Waterloo built John Deere tractor models. Tyler gives you the extra insight into things to watch for during this tractor restoration project.

I love dealing with Steiner Tractor Parts. They are prompt and are there to help you with your projects. I have both 1951 John Deere Model A and B so Steiner is my parts supplier. Steiner and Rachel Gingell are my tutorial tutors that help me with my projects. Great job to both of you. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the Vid. I did a core replacement on a 60 series just last week.
ALOT of patience is needed and still had a couple of broken bolts in the old cast tanks.
Core and bolt kit came from Stiener.
Be prepared to buy more bolts as some were not proper length supplied with the kit.

Use a small brazing head on torch and mildly heat each small bolt. Heat around bolt and then loosen. I did this on two of my tractors and it worked well . No broken off bolts. As Tyler mentioned use anti - sneeze when assembling. Good luck!! Do it right and do it only once. No short cuts .

I have a 60 needing the same repair and would like to have seen the actual removal of the radiator along with separation of the upper hose.
