    That's a grand job and really digging the flipperty flops, most jobs I do around the house are done bare foot so at least you added a little protection.

    Wow!! I came here looking for a video on how to slightly shave down a cover I’ve bought as it’s about 5mm too short around the thermostats. Now I want you to make me one haha. This looks beautiful. Fantastic job. I’m very jealous I’m utterly s**t at diy 😭

    Another nice, simple build 👍 +1 for the footwear - I've had a 'warped' big toe since a drum of 2.5mm T&E fell onto my flip flopped foot 😢

    Wow. nice job. you made easy work of that. I was thinking of building something much more elaborate for a radiator cover, but that looks so good and is so functional that I may borrow some ideas from this.

    great project, would like to know how you managed such a perfect skirting board scribe! Contour gauge or a fancy trick?

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому

      Thanks Keith. I used something called a Trend Multi Scribe. I bought it when I renovated our house as it's really handy. Was going to film it but the video was getting pretty lengthy. I might do a separate video on how I use it. 👍🏼

    Another great video set. Just one quick question when you made the green marks on the wall for the wall dogs was that just an ordinary marker pen you used or a special marking device?

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому

      +Andy it's a special device called a Marxman. There's a link in the description of the workshop dust extraction part 2 video. 👍🏼

    Great job can I ask what make is the jointer thicknesser is it a titan from screwfix if yes how good is it and can you do a review on it thanks keep up the great projects

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому

      +little ceaser thanks. Yes it's the Titan one from screwfix. It's not bad for the money but I haven't had one previously so don't have anything to compare it to.
      Joe at the channel Average Joe's Joinery did a good review of it which prompted me to buy. Check it out. I might do a brief review if I get time.

    Nice video, You have a good selection of tools, are you a hobby woodworker or a professional.

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому +1

      Thanks I guess you could say hobby as I don’t do it for a living but I renovated my entire house so kitted myself out with decent tools as they make a real difference to the quality and last well.

    Shouldn't you have some sort of relief in the top for hot air to rise up and out?

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому

      +SCK Woodworking I suppose it will never get out those two massive gaps under the top....

    • @esskayrepairrestoration8265
      @esskayrepairrestoration8265 7 років тому

      Happy Wife Happy Life No more than the other gaps in the front but it'll heat up the timber a lot before it does, eventually causing it to crack and warp..
      Anyway, nice smartarse answer to a simple question. Unsubscribed.

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому +3

      +SCK Woodworking you clearly don't understand the concept of convection and the movement of warm air i.e. upwards and as more warm air follows it the air is pushed out the front. It won't just sit underneath the top. Hence the answer was appropriate to the stupidity of the statement/question.
      Glad you liked the answer I'll get over it don't worry.

    Silly question maybe but how did you get the outline of skirting onto the mdf??

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  5 років тому

      I used a scribing tool. Takes a bit of practice but gets good results.

    Great looking cover, but you appear to have trapped the thermostatic radiator valve in the cover. You could well have problems with the radiator not getting hot.

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK  7 років тому +2

      +Clive Bashford I did consider that but heat rises so I shouldn't have a problem can drill a couple of holes in side if it does play up.
