Delightful episode, a sneak peek into the memories, from as kids to grown up sisters, the way you engage in arguing, rather exchanging ideas, is beautiful ! The lovely pranks and crimes executed, the beautiful Ranjani akka's expressions, the helpless Gayatri akka in the hands of her sister, brings joyous memories of their own, to the viewers :) And the last part of the dialogue is profound ! We are not ready these days to express a difference of opinion. We feel we might be judged, we feel insecure, and end up being 'nice' to all, at all times. The actual relationship thrives on the trust built, that even at the face of differences, the core remains intact ! How profound and a deep message it is ! Just love your dialogues, for these scattering truths, like pearls ! At the end, you both are like flint stones.. You rub against each other, producing sparks of love, trust & beautiful music ❤️ Thank you for this lovely episode !
Indeed, so well articulated. Gayatri's reflection on the trust factor is clearly the precise reason.. Fear of judgment would not coexist with trust...Beautiful!

Rarely we see sisters with such equal skill and talent, these women are pride of our country 🙏
Have a friend or sibling or partner in your life who looks at you the way Ranjani ji looks at Gayatri ji when she's recollecting instances or explaining something. Such admiration and respect for each other! Much wow!
I found you very late but been obsessed with you from last one month, i dont know how many times i have listened to pandaricha boothamote, literally my day doesn't completes without listening to your renditions more than 10 times.. bolawa vittala added to the new obsession list, Though i have zero knowledge about carnatic music i was listening to every rendition of yours.. in the process i am smitten with Ranjani madam's smile, expressions her husky voice and innocence and awestruck by gayatri mam's sharp voice. Now watching your live concert is in top of my bucket list.
It is one thing to be enormously talented. BUT... It is altogether another thing to be genuine, unpretentious, accessible, humble, and open. R&G bring these qualities to their performances. Art is much more than the piece - it is reinterpreted, embellished by the artists' qualities. May your partnership continue to grow and thrive! We fans are grateful for RagaCandid.
Ha ha ha . This episode is the most delightful and funniest. Can imagine what pranks and fun Ranjani mam would have done .. ha ha ha . But she is a beautiful soul and is gentle and kind . Gayatri mam .. oh no I can't imagine that you can't dance . You are totally amazing and multitalented person. You are just best person and singer here in today's generation . This episode did give me an insight and sneak peek into the beautiful and cherished childhood you had . Ranjani mam making you dance... ha ha ha . That is definitely hilarious and best . I'm laughing so hard. Thanks yet again for this gem 💎 among episodes . Radha
I am stopping in the middle of the video just to tell you how entertaining, honest ,genuine, down to earth.. This Raga Candid is.. Feels as if you r talking to me one on one.. You r not only great singers, but extremely interesting people too.. Be blessed always!
Meryl Streep once said that "If there is no arguments with the director then something is going wrong ". Similarly the arguments between you two intellectuals reflects innovation & progression. From listening to literally every piece of your music that comes my way over the years, to watching every RaGa candid avidly to understand what is in the depths of your ingenious minds, this episode brought me miles closer to the simplicity and authenticity of your personal lives. Thank you very much, I cannot stop smiling :)
Such a beautiful episode . The story of pavadai made me giggle so much . How cute it might have been ?? The cutest pair of sisters ever . The thumbnail is the most adorable picture I've ever seen in the internet . Cuteness overloaded . How innocent you both looked ? Now , making the greatest singers ever . Ranjani mam has a dancer in her . Those beautiful bhavams are evident in her music as she sings and feels the emotive phase of each phrase . How does she experience that ?? Wow , that's incredible . Especially her viruttams are sacks of the loveliest emotions . She making , Gayatri mam dance to her tunes is imaginable . How helpless the pretty Gayatri mam would've been ?? Aww !! Such a joyous episode with fun filled experience and it seems as if your childhood is replenished again .. thanks for the wonderful insight into your golden childhood . You might've been the cutest pair of siblings ever walking together in music , affection, pranks and arguments that initiate ideas and notions for the Marvels you both execute in your singing . You both look very beautiful now as you were in childhood 🤩. Regards Radha
You both are the cutest sisters ever! I have two daughters and I hope that one day, in the not too distant future, they too will laugh about their fights and differences and look at each other with the love and adoration that you both share! God bless!
So refreshing to watch this episode. Such unassuming ladies, no airs or pretentions. True talent and genius don't need drama or theatrics. Their personalities are so endearing too. Ms Gayathri is so vivacious and hyper and childlike and Ms Ranjini is so indulgent and sweet, patiently smiling and enjoying her sister's high energy chatter and gestures.
Reminds me of my childhood days when you spoke about " Bakshanam" . My grandmother used to say "Kadangaran, Kadangaran, Vaithukulla vechalum thedi kandupudichiduvaan. Onnu kuda vittu vekkillai"
The Bhairagi Abhang is such a beautiful one. I always close my eyes and shut out the rest of the world whenever you sing it. Never fails to move me to tears. Was very interesting to know that a fruitful argument and one rishaba changed the whole facet of the song! About the closing remarks on arguments (well said and very true), I also feel that there is something magical about being blood related that makes you forget fights the minute they get over.
The paavadai story reminds me of my cousins. We'd see them every two years at the ancestral village. And each year the next cousin in line used to be wearing the paavadai worn by her elder sister the last time we'd seen them :)
Akkas how beautiful it is!! Don't know how many times i laughed and enjoyed by seeing this.... So fun, that dance point and expressions was so good actually, That's why Ranjani akka called as expression Queen while her singing and enjoying Gayatri Akka's singing.....
Though possessing contradictory ideas and tastes , my favorite musical legends have been united in their common taste of singing.Their arguments made their relationship as well as their performances thrive a lot.Mam..... You are the most lovable singers of mine.🙏🏻💞
Wow. Isn't this the purest thing on the internet right now? Eighteen minutes flew by in so much joy! Watched the entire episode with the widest grin on my face. Love this precious episode to pieces. But even this light-hearted episode has so much to learn from! Isn't that the best way to learn - when you have so much fun you don't even realise you are being taught! The dance segment was just
Raga candid - a very unique and enchanting programme. Especially this episode, excellent. So nice to see the bond and relationship with atmartha love and affection for each other. I think and believe that arguments and fights with acceptance for each other paves way for better understanding and strengthening of any relatonship
Dear Sisters. Thank you for the sharing. Not many in today's generation go through what you did. Further there was a lot of respect for your elders. Wishing you a very happy and successful journey. Sri Rama Jayam. Rajkumar Malaysia
A beautiful episode! An unintended (perhaps) outcome is that youngsters can relate to how you are so much like one amongst them and not any god-sent, or born-to-perform or gifted kinds. That makes their aspirations so much more realistic and do-able!
Hair rsising when I heard bridavani change to bairagi. A change of 1 note, and such a poignant change in flavour . "1 step vs huge leap for mankind" sort of epiphany. Not just a hair raising experience, but moved by the talent, the candour, and the bond between the sisters. Moved by the rich heritage that we have and by those that preserve it and hand it down to posterity. I will perhaps come back to this comment later and wonder whether I'd been a little too mushy.. but right now, at this present moment, this is how I feel and the words are inadequate and don't quite capture how i feel!
So sweet, you both sisters had such an excavating childhood, exciting and fighting. That’s what makes a childhood remember and sharing. Coming to ‘Pawada’ ,I think that one pawada brought you both luck and accomplishment in your life!! Love the stories and keep sharing! All the best and please stay healthy and safe with the COVID pandemic .
Thoroughly enjoyed this free flowing conversation, such beautiful memories! Thank you Ranjani and Gayatri for showing us your normal, human, fun side; we have of course known you both for all these years for your superhuman musical talent and ability
Why am I so obsessed only to this episode I don't know😂😍 may be coz of ranjani akka's expressions or gayatri akka's still chamthu reactions...OmG apart from music, you both make us feel you with us always😍in our memories❤❤ The situation is better than before..so pls consider the request of all RaGa candid fans and try to bring back candids akkas🙏🏻🙏🏻😅😍
One of the best in raga candid.Enjoyed every words which were musically pleasant and we than ur father for not allowing Ranjani madam because the country would have got dancer but music would have lost a great singer. As usual entire episode is awesome and may god bless you both
Such a wonderful episode!! Reminded me of my own childhood... I’m your age and I still have the one and only pavadai my grandmother bought me when I was 10 😀.. I never realised till now that stealing bhakshanam and wearing the same pavadai for years were standard tam-brahm cultures !! 😂
Ahh!!!! What a beautiful fun episode..... I started walking down the memory lane when the pavadai story came up . Who can forget the takku pirikkara ritual ? Ranjani akka, though my name is Gayathri, I was like you in childhood, with respect to dance, and feasting on sweets secretly. Thank you #RaGa so much for such a fun episode. I feel 8 again. :D
Dearests, it would be wonderful when you present yur music and yur reflections in perrson it adds to the sweetness of yur music and beautiful expressions. Yu two are inimitable ❤️❤️❤️
It's always amazing how u both share ur thoughts in an honest, down to earth and interesting way... Sprinkled with fun... True, I am big fan of ranjani akka's calm and meditative expressions and Gayathri akka's coordination while they sing.. 🙏
Here girls....soooo funny and very interesting this episode.....I laughed lot fully.... especially pavadai bakshansm thirudi thinkarthu....wow...what a past days.....we had ..now our children are doesn't have that experience...so sad.... thank you RAGA sis for sharing this wonderful pastimes...in the same time we had gone 35 years back.... lovely god bless you. awaiting for see you both next Monday..bye....tc
This episode just touched my heart! I am falling short of words. I could completely visualize whatever you said about your childhood. Arts was running in your blood amidst all the fun and fights you both had. Being a dancer myself, Rajani akka's pushpanjali posture was bang on. I would love to see a bit of dance from Ranjani akka :D I loved the childlike enthu Ranjani akka had today.. Very sweet expressions. Mumbai is a gifted place to have a blend of our culture as well as otherz which gives us a perfect exposure to the world. A proud Mumbaikar like you. Wish I knew you during my Arangetram days, I would have invited you, specially to witness my sarees. I changed 3 for my Arangetram. Could have earned 3 hisses :D
I loved it. They compliment each other very well, just like the Yin Yang they mentioned and now add the north and south pole, positive and negative for completeness.
I generally don't comment but will watch all of your videos...I don't know much about music...but I love listening to you both...and I don't know why I am crying at the end of this video..may be I am missing my only sibling who lives away from me....Best wishes to both of you.
More than ten years back my wife and I blessed both of you to become a popular artist at TTD in Tnagar hall Navaratri festival. So we are glad to see your status.
My dear sisters, of course you are great singers but above that you are geat human being too. It was a wonderful experience watching your video of singing or taking. Wish you all the best and keep going like this forever. God bless dear sisters
Going back in time is always cherished amongst brothers and sisters, perhaps you took many viewers to their childhood days with your lively presentation.👏
Dear Ranjani Ma'am and Gayatri Ma'am, I request you to sing the Bairagi Abhang in the next episode. I can't find it anywhere online! Such a soulful, heart wrenching rendition!
well said RaGa about having trust and openess in arguments. Really makes it worthwhile for a friendship or a relationship to thrive and be fulfilling. Hope God gives more strength to your team work.
What a joyful candid !... feeling refreshed thank you so much dear RaGa mam , ur candid’s are just incredible.....the starting swara Kalpana , korappu was so much interesting and beautiful . It was so nice to here ur childhood memories, arguments & fun activities!.. namaskaram 🙏🏻
Loved this episode - a combination of music & memories 🥰. Ranjani akka's face looks the same from childhood till date. Akka you looked cute with your eye movements❤️. Now we have got to know why Gayatri akka is thinner....was never a foodie then and now. Ur saris in this episode reminds us of the moment we clicked a group photo with you after the concert @ the Music academy last season (quite similar to those u r clad in this episode). Lesson from this episode : ' feel emboldened to argue when u have the trust in each other'. Thank you RaGa Akkas.
Awesome episode. Was waiting for this for quite sometime. Thoroughly enjoyed it. So aptly articulated....working your way through innumerable squabbles to find that common ground..... in music and in life ...
thanks for make my day.thanks a lot because i enjoyed thise concept. and really blessed in god mookambika to raga sisters ( raga devathaigal). once again thank you
Hai Ragas... my god....how many times I would watch this video!!!!.....too much laugh and fun....my best time pass is watching this video.. specialty 8 to18 paavadi..... சிரிச்சு முடியல.... stress bursted...I feel so fresh when I Watched this... Thank you
One of the lovely episodes about your differences and likings starting from. Saree selections etc. Felt like I was there watching you in person, stealing the கடலை உருண்டை, entering the stage with flowers to perform pudhpanjali. Ranjani your head and eye movements were perfect. Loved the whole episode. Love you and admire you. Your ardent fan. Still waiting for your episode on விருத்தம், mainly Tamil ones. I have tears swelling up listening to them.
Superb session akka's. The koraippu in Bhairavi ragam in the beginning with Ranjani akka ending in Panchamam and Gayatri Akka ending in Madhyamam. I was totally shocked to hear that you were the worst 2 sister siblings in the world. Me(Navneeth) and my younger brother(Sriniketh) also are the worst 2 brother siblings in the world. We would like fight for anything and everything in the world. I saw totally new sides of both of you. I often argued with my brother as to why you have to play like this in this composition. He learns Mridangam and I learn Carnatic Music Vocal. Was nice to hear that Ranjani akka was learning to do choreography at such a young age. Ranjani akka also liked to steal bhakshanams from wherever you keep it. I also do the same thing when I am hungry. Often my brother comes and sees me and I bribe him with his favourite snack and he also quietly goes away. Was interesting to hear your story of the first pavadai you brought and was shocked to hear that it gifted for 10 years for both of you. Really if the pavadai had eyes, athu kulungi kulungi azhuthirukum. Was excited to hear the Abhang in Brindavani and the argument relating to that. Love your videos. It is like we are sitting in the drawing room in our house and having a discussion with both of you. An ardent Rasika akka.
Hearing your conversation i went to my flash back. Stealing, fights, gossiping, dressing part and we dont even go out. We are 3 sisters along with my mom, 4 females and 1 male( my appa) imagine. But we will b very quiet once we see appa though not very strict but we are obedient 3 little daughters wont even ask him to take us out. As usual very enjoyable episode. U both rock. Take care bye.😁🙏
Delightful episode, a sneak peek into the memories, from as kids to grown up sisters, the way you engage in arguing, rather exchanging ideas, is beautiful !
The lovely pranks and crimes executed, the beautiful Ranjani akka's expressions, the helpless Gayatri akka in the hands of her sister, brings joyous memories of their own, to the viewers :)
And the last part of the dialogue is profound !
You rub against each other, producing sparks of love, trust & beautiful music ❤️
Thank you for this lovely episode !
Ranjani akka (in a serious tone): "Gayatri used to love one portion of the recital... Dress change." HILARIOUS!! I'm dying here!!
AVI MOHAN Yes that was precious!
Indeed, so well articulated. Gayatri's reflection on the trust factor is clearly the precise reason.. Fear of judgment would not coexist with trust...Beautiful!
Rarely we see sisters with such equal skill and talent, these women are pride of our country 🙏
4:40 her face when she said, "We dont enjoy when it happens..."😂
You both are too loveable ❤
As a father of two grown up daughters, i can appreciate with all respects the memories of these talented siblings on their formative days of life
Have a friend or sibling or partner in your life who looks at you the way Ranjani ji looks at Gayatri ji when she's recollecting instances or explaining something. Such admiration and respect for each other! Much wow!

Why do we always associate the term “soul mate” only to a romantic partner ? Sibling bonds like this one make one think it is more appropriate to use the term for their partnership in life.
It’s a very appropriate episode to show to the world for coming together to eradicate the Viral infection bringing the globe to stop. There is a great message for everyone to aim for a common goal of Unity.

Wow this sharing brought back memories of childhood thank you
Apart from your singing I always enjoy Ranjani's facial expressions too. Now I know it comes all the way from the childhood dance practices 👍😀.

Thank you so much. Watching you, I could recall my childhood memories of pavadai, food, dance etc. I thoroughly enjoyed... thank you
Omg, so cute! very humbling you musical duos! Not only your voice but your childhood stories are full of pleasure to hear.
Delighted to watch. Childhood memories abstracted into profound thoughts.
Enjoyed your conversation completely. God bless you both.

Extremely enjoyable episode! What a beautiful childhood! Thanx a lot!
A very lively & fun filled episode down memory lane. So beautiful! 🙏🙏🙏💐💐💐
Great nostalgic walkthrough
There was a smile on my face for whole of 18.23 minutes; and such a beautiful end to the show!
The message is so beautiful guys thanks for sharing all your thoughts
Very interesting dear sisters. It's like sitting in our house drawing room and chatting with us. Love you dear sisters

"Extremely uplifting the spirits".
Episode.. Thank you!
What a wonderful episode,i just went back to my childhood days, thanks a lot
Can't get enough of Ranjani Akka's Addami!

This is such a nostalgic episode bringing back memories with siblings... Such a beautiful journey of life together 👌 👌... ❤️❤️🙏
What a joy listening to wonderful sisters.
To name u both pasamana fighting sisters. Yr expression of yr childhood memories was also with precision details as yr music sangadhis n swaras.
Pulling hairs , fighting for chocolate, finishing biscuit is the common fights every pair of sibling does.
Cant Wait to see you two in Singapore on apricot 21st!!!
Very cute and fun episode. Thoroughly enjoyed. 😀👌👏👏
So sweet !!! What a beautiful episode...loved it
Hearing your conversation i went to my flash back.
Arguments show a healthy relationship...showing that you respect each other 🙏🏼
