Its not that Disney wanted to go light on the fireworks. It had to, due to existing pollution and air quality concerns in Shanghai.

That's because of the pollution restrictions and air quality concerns in Shanghai. So if they used too much like the US, then the air quality and pollution will be terrible!

Love the lights show in here! But they are lacking in fireworks. I also love the fire & water show, just like in DL Paris.

Like everyone else said, air pollution, also this is the same exact show as pairs haha also there are fountains in this show too they’re just hard to see bc they’re so far away
Nick Pelayo This one premiered before Paris’. The Paris version was for the 25th anniversary of DLP in 2017. This show premiered in 2016.
