Naturally derived ingredients are in some cases worse for the enviornment and worse for our health. Natural plants with interesting properties contain a multitude of chemicals and the concentration of the sought after chemical varies.
Chemicals used in cosmetics were often first discovered in a plant, but then we learnt how to isolate it and the isolated chemical is much more reliable.

I think it's largely to do with how some people approach information. It's important to let others make up their own mind because you CAN be wrong. Especially if its something that's based on science. 1 study, blog, movement, theory, or pseudo science does not make a fact. Also, information and scientific research is always changing so you COULD also be right. I always treat information as a suggestion until I fact check or do my own research. People are all also different and things affect them differently. It's important to find out where you fall independently of where your friends fall. A lot of people give information being biased or subjective and it's important to play devils advocate when you take a hard stance on something. Keeping in mind that you could be right but you could also be wrong and those two things can fall under a grey spectrum.

I had an epiphany years ago about some of these things. Knowing that our skin is our body's largest organ, I stopped using dryer sheets and began using those dryer balls and I love them! No more dry lips... I never could tolerate those matte liquid lipsticks so I was thrilled when everyone moved away from them. Regarding shaving, I haven't shaved in close to 17 years. I began using an epilator back in '05 (I think) and just bought a new one last year. That's a LOT of hair removal for something that costs close to $100 and doesn't require anything else (no soap, shaving cream, razor blades, even water!). At this point I think I have 4 hairs that grow in my left underarm and about 6 hairs in my right - cannot beat those results!! Good for you - loved this video and the knowledge you imparted. 🙏🏻

It sounds like you are talking about bad exes. Thank you for all your information, Tati! It’s ok that you went through all of this, don’t feel bad about it. Thank you for showing us your journey ❤❤ A long time fan.

I enjoy hearing your perspective on things. I've been wearing Covergirl Outlast liquid lipsticks way before liquid lips became a trend. Still love it, affordable and works well for me. Especially the color Natural Blush. It comes with a lip balm. Wears well and never have to worry about transfer, which is huge for me.

Loved this video! I'm borderline on the edge of looking into the ingredients of all of our products but it's overwhelming 😩

For sure. I find it anxiety inducing because a lot of the time it is taken too far. Like what’s ok today will not be in a year. Like whatever. I trust my instincts on most things.
