    Hi Troy, just an idea for an upgrade to the boat. Where Rebecca stands pulling in the pots, maybe fit a roller on the side of the boat edge so the pots can be pulled in easier.

    Troy and Becky, a thought for you, what about a rod rack on the port side and a couple of rod holders on the starboard side?? when your fishing you have to put the rod down, this must be damaging the rod eyes. The port side would keep the rods out of the way as you haul pots, several times you have broken rods etc because there in the way. was on the Island just before the big storm and i was supprised at the cost of rods reels etc. more expensive than the mainland

      We have some rod holders on the port side but don't use them for various reasons. The prices in Guernsey are horrendous and just keep rocketing up.

      Yes, when i was over 2 weeks ago, the prices in Morrisons was a real eye watering. Nescafe coffee, £10, - £5 uk and that is just one item@@Trojwaterman

    Do you ever find useful driftwood or do the local tides not throw up much in your area ? A battery chainsaw is a great addition to the car boot when visiting the shoreline ( quiet and discreet)

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  8 місяців тому

      Yes sometimes I find floating wood usually from cargo ships The Plymouth pilot transom was reinforced with some hardwood I found at sea.

    Is it just personal preference to fish the rings and reel uppermost on your rod ?

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  8 місяців тому +2

      It is for multiplier reels and under for fixed spool reels
