I agree Timothy West 'is' Flashman, fantastic narrative with all the characters as well, I have read and listened to all of the Flashman books over again and never tire of them....
That bit of eavesdropping from the musician's gallery is repeated in Where Eagles Dare & echoed on the film The 4 Musketeers - the latter of which had its screenplay written by GMF.
Timothy West is Flashman, l am unable to listen to any other narater reading Flashman. Mr West in BBC Gentleman Jack was at his superlative best. It is well worth watching.

@@hobozero9966 Brother I have never even heard of Flashman and never been a fan of most British humor. I can't thank you enough for bringing these books to us. All those words like cad, bounder, and all the others I've never found a use for fit the man perfectly as only he can tell it. It's going to take a while to get through these and like others who have commented here I am going to have to read them in their proper order. Thank you for providing the audio versions. I haven't been able to focus well enough to actually read a book in a long time and must rely on them and very often they are read so badly or by a machine that just doesn't work. These are very enjoyable.

I am unable to get through a book narrated by Mr Case. There is one problem with the Flashman books and that is there are nowhere near enough.
