the sense of speed you feel during nightrunners is so much fun
you can tell a lot of love and passion was poured into this project
it’s crazy because it was developed by only one person
He developed this game well because he thought about what a gamer would want instead of thinking about money…I hope the developer ends up making multiple games
The fact i have an entirely stripped down car just to contend with the AI (i am terrible at the game)
what ive noticed is that in the turns they slow down quiet a bit and npcs usually spawn on the optimal racing line just to throw you off. and i always like to keep a bit of distance between myself and the ai since Ive had a handful of time of the ai running me off the road or pit maneuvering me.
Stripping down your car is meta, you shave off extra weight that even going straight to carbon fibre parts won’t get you

I just did it because its always been my dream to fully deinterior a car but I dont have the balls or patience to do it to my real car.

congrats on beating the man! the new AI rework is awesome, some really intense bumper to bumper racing at 300kmh
yeah its a very noticable difference but in a good way! keeps you on edge for basically every race towards the end of the demo

I dig the simplified headlights sprite that shows up in your rear view mirror. Really amps up the anxiety.

Well i'll be damned, it has music by DJ Kuroneko, what an absolute time to be alive. Definitely will buy this game when it is out, here is to hoping for more banger breakbeat/breakcore artists.

This ALMOST looks like it could run on PS2 hardware... but I imagine there are many little bits in the code that would make it far too heavy to neither fit on a DVD disc nor for the console to read...
I was doing like 370kmh and the game crashed, my pc ain't the best but it ain't a potato so I don't think it would run well on a ps2

Midnight Club 2 is so good even to this day.
Those lights make the car look like it is sleeping, it comes alive when the engine starts.

you actually dont upgrade anything to get a 6th gear. In the auction house if you purchase a 200RS, they all come standard with a 6 speed. different car than what you'd start out with.

there is also a bug when racing the boss at the start when exting the highway to the tunnel my car seems to jump upside down

I haven't gotten far in Night Runners yet, but if it's like any other game I imagine it's got max camshaft upgrade.

Wild that it takes tiny devs like this to do something that triple A devs refuse to do. Quit destroying franchises and bring back the classic feels that worked. NFS Underground and Burnout, they just work (but not Todd Howard type just work, actually work).

But it is a 180sx.. You probably can remove the black plastic (i havent played night runners) and I’m assuming he swapped the 5 speed out for a 6 speed
@@zeckor.It’s still a demo game. I believe that we could do the transmission swap and maybe remove the black trim. But so far it seems like the game doesn’t allow anyone to do so.
And 180SX have the trim in game, 200SX does not.
It’s not just about irl, but more about the game is still demo so it lacks quite a bit of features.
In his latest video, he mentioned that the white one is a 200SX and the other one is 180SX, so… yeah.
It’s about the game design not irl knowledge!

when you purchase the upgraded transmission , you can opt for straight cut gears
The car sound desight should be overhauled. For example this 800hp car has the same engine sound as stock shitbox, it should be deeper and more visceral as the engine gets rebuilt.
I cannot play this game for more than 5 minutes cause it's so blurry even on 4k
Bro I literally can not play this game because of all the visual effects
All you see of the track ahead is like a 50x50 blurry square of brown pixels
you can turn down all of the effects, which i also did because it was too much to deal with lol

I turned it all the way down and lowered the fov as much as possible but I still had trouble seeing anything cause the roads are so sparsely lit

Which version of the game is this? the current steam version has bad AI imo compared to older builds. Right now they rubber band way too hard, and litterally throw themselves into corners passing you by turning harder than should be possible, only for them to stop in the middle of a straight so you can catch up. I notice you staying in a gear longer than necessary at times. Is this to keep the AI at a distance where the rubber banding doesn't activate?
i believe this should've been v0.9981 before they rolled out v0.9995.

Game played the worst song for the race lol it has to be Emotion Engine. You can skip the music by pulling phone out then double tap right D pad.
Overly high FOV, mostly straight highways with slight curves, bad physics, a highly inconsistent GUI, and an art-style that is starting to become generic.
The only good thing about this game is the sound-design, and that's not enough for me, ngl.
