I am in absolute disbelief right now. My wife is the bow winner. I emailed you guys the story of how it went down in my house. It was epic. I started following you guys in 2018 and you have sincerely impacted the trajectory of my hunting career. Motivated and educated me to get out of my home state of Washington and explore. It gets better every year. I don't want to write too much on here after emailing but from my family to all you guys, Thanks. It was a moment that we won't forget about and you just Jumpstarted another aspiring bowhunting career with Natalie.
Oh. My. Goodness!!!! Thank you Guys so much!! My husband and I have wanted to bow hunt together for quite some time and now that will be possible, I won't just be tagging along for the hike 😜 - thank you, guys, VERY much!!! Thanks for entering me, Robby - I look forward to all our adventures! Good luck this year, y'all!! 🎉
Finally! Content that features someone who is a true meat cutter. I began as a meat cutter when I was 18 until I was 40, I'm 67 now. It's refreshing to me anyway, to see content about field to table done correctly. Good job guys! Keep doing what you're doing. I live vicariously through BRO.
Finally someone that knows what there talking about. Great to see you guys showing the right way of breaking down and animal. Not to many people still doing it the old school way.
Hey guys I know this is a long shot but thought it would be worth putting out a feeler. I have an archery hunt in Colorado lined up for the first week of September. It was originally supposed to be a father son hunt, but a couple weeks ago my dad tore his Achilles. I still have a tag and am looking to go but am running into issues with the landowner in allowing me to go by myself. Was wondering if anyone would want to come with as a film or just support person to help me make this dream come true. I’m about to embark on a medical school journey and know this will be my only shot for the foreseeable future. Thanks guys and love the videos!
Fantastic video! You can keep the YJ's and flies away with pepper sprinkled on your meat if they get to be a problem. Crazy how fast they show up and bring their friends.
We put our burger into cake pans and cut into pound packages, you can get very close portions, they stack well and would fit into the smaller bags. Everything else was about how I cut them. I went to Oregon meat cutting school at age 16 so over 40 years ago. Great info for the public, Thanks guys
I absolutely love your videos and have learned a lot when it comes to hunting elk. The one thing I keep hearing is the gutless method. Can y'all do a full video from start to finish of this method?
Thanks for this episode. Good for hunters to process their own meat. We been doing it for years and it's helped our kids appreciate the food by understanding all parts of the process . 😊
Congratulations to the winner of the Hoyt bow 🏹 and thanks for sharing high quality tips for meat 🍖 care. I definitely wouldn’t mind winning that Meat 🥩 Your Maker kit. 🙏
The top round works awesome for a pastrami. There is another cut in there that the grain runs straight can get 4 good chunks for pastrami in two rear quarters. Good video here!!!!
Congratulations to the Bow winner !!! Good job guys that’s some awesome information on butchering an elk ! I picked up a few tips I’m going to be trying on all our whitetails we butcher every year ! That’s a pretty sweet grinder and vacuum sealer! Thanks for all the great info!!
Awesome video. I learned some new things about the different cuts of meat and what to do with them. I’ve been processing my own game since I was a youth hunter with my dad. My son is now helping me and I will be teaching him the things I learned. Thank you.
A great breakdown of a carcass, literally. 😅 Congratulations, Natalie?, on the Hoyt bow, I hope it'll do right by you. Ya'll have an awesome how to here, I'll transpose it from an elk, to a deer. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to elk hunt yet, but I will someday. Love what ya'll are doing ❤😊
I ve always cut my own meat I learned from.my Dad and other family members when I was younger we used to have meat cutting parties where we would get to getther and cut up 4 to 5 animals.
Thank goodness that grinder has a long neck Trent! Everyone be careful with your grinders, don't put your hand down there like Trent unless you have a Meat grinder with that long of a throat. If your hand can reach the auger when the grinder is turned off then use the plunger because that means your hand can reach when the grinder is turned on as well. Love the video and great meat is the best reward to a fun hunt.
I love this video. I’m my group’s butcher and I do it a little bit different. So watching someone else cut an animal up is awesome. I learned a few new tricks so thank you guys so much. And thank you for coming up with the game bags. I absolutely love mine.
Great video, very educational for sure. I've been cutting up my own meat for 20 years now and learn something new every time it seems. I noticed what looked like a coolbot set up in your cooler. I run that same set up in my home cooler and what a life saver it is.
Looking forward to seeing Steve with EXO. I'm getting ready to buy 2 new K4 packs soon. Going to do the High Buck Hunt this year again , here in Washington state. Definitely need an upgrade.
Really enjoyed the walk through. Its been over 23 years since the last time i have taken an animal due to many reasons and looking forward to the opportunity this coming fall to use the skills again.
Great to see you Kody and Trent!! Look forward to the season!! Can’t wait to watch I’m worn out I can’t do anymore re runs this year from watching all the seasons over and over!!
Congratulations Natalie on your win. Great video BRO. I started processing all my wild game last year. Man did he make it look easy. Practice makes perfection i guess lol. Looking forward for the next video. 👍 👍
We have been doing all our own processing for as long as I can remember. It’s hard work but we sure enjoy the finished product! Keep up the great videos
So mentioned at home grinders a few times. My question would be what's a minimum "size" or #? And HP? For an elk once a year or two but primarily whitetail. Live in Southeast and travel for annual western hunt.
Thank you Kyle, nicely done👍. I've taken down Deer but never such a large Animal . It comes across as intimidating but,I see bye watching it really I'd the same seam technique 🌞. Thanks so much🐦 . Thanks Born Raised for a wonderful Elk Week so far🎉. JO JO IN VT 💞
Great video. It’s always interesting to see and learn different ways of taking care of your harvest. There’s alway more than one way to skin a cat for sure!!
I love these videos. I'd love to see this video done again, with a fixed camera angle from above the butcher. Sometimes the camera panned away from what he was describing as he worked. I would have liked to have the better visual of what he was doing to section out the different muscle groups. Thanks!

This is awesome! We couldn’t be happier for you
Congratulations to your wife!! Tell us the story!
Congratulations!

Good luck this year, y'all!! 🎉
So happy for you! How exciting!!
The single most important aspect of the process... The work and skill needed to ensure table fare outcome... thanks fellas
After 15 years elk hunting I still learned things from watching your
Butchering video. Thanks BRO!
Finally! Content that features someone who is a true meat cutter. I began as a meat cutter when I was 18 until I was 40, I'm 67 now. It's refreshing to me anyway, to see content about field to table done correctly. Good job guys! Keep doing what you're doing. I live vicariously through BRO.
Fly's, bees, and hornets are my September enemies!😂
Man that guy was quick!
My brother is a meat cutter and I can’t follow him either. Great video
Finally someone that knows what there talking about. Great to see you guys showing the right way of breaking down and animal. Not to many people still doing it the old school way.
No waaay! After 30 + years of hunting and never came to me to flatten out my burger. Thanks guys.

Sharp knives are a must. Very informative. Thank you!
Seems like I learn more each time I watch someone butcher an elk. Never kept the tri tip before but will now
Love to see more on the butchering of the elk. Never got a tritip from my elk. Will next time. Great episode
The processing of my game is my favorite part!! Dad was a butcher and have shared this skill with my family and friends!
Love the little bow to’s..I always learn and try to use some of the info I get from your guys videos
Thanks for a great video. Learned a lot from this for the future for cutting up deer.
Makes butchering that elk look easy! Guess I need to start getting more animals and practice my butchering skills
ELK! yeAH BABY! lol. I live in Wyoming, Elk hunting is the highlight of each year! Thanks!
Love your Elk week so far! So glad you showed us how you cut up a elk in the field!😊

One of the best butchering videos I've seen, and I'm still learning new tricks at 61...thanks guys, keep on bringing it the way you do!!!!
Great tip for the ground burger, pressing it out flat after vacuuming sealing makes a lot of sense!
Actually shows how the work begins after you pull the trigger👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
This will be a video that I’ll be saving for when I take my dad on his dream hunt for an elk.
Fantastic video! You can keep the YJ's and flies away with pepper sprinkled on your meat if they get to be a problem. Crazy how fast they show up and bring their friends.

That grinder and vac sealer would be a game changer.
Awesome video guys
Love the bro crew. Bringing the goods from field to table. Thanks guys

Thanks for this episode. Good for hunters to process their own meat. We been doing it for years and it's helped our kids appreciate the food by understanding all parts of the process . 😊
Great video. I’ve learned that the flat hamburger packages will thaw completely in about 5 min if you put it in a sink full of room temp water.
Awesome episode hopefully I’ll be processing one myself this year!
Really liked the butcher scene. Very helpful for understanding all the steak options. Thank you for the video.
All good information. Enjoy watching your videos every week. Thanks
