FIRST OF ALL, THEN, I URGE THAT SUPPLICATIONS, PRAYERS, INTERCESSIONS, AND THANKSGIVINGS BE MADE FOR ALL PEOPLE, FOR KINGS AND ALL WHO ARE IN HIGH POSITIONS, THAT WE MAY LEAD A PEACEFUL AND QUIET LIFE, GODLY AND DIGNIFIED IN EVERY WAY. 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2
LIKEWISE THE SPIRIT HELPS US IN OUR WEAKNESS. FOR WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO PRAY FOR AS WE OUGHT, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF INTERCEDES FOR US WITH GROANINGS TOO DEEP FOR WORDS. ROMANS 8:26
Today I enlist the prayer Paul prayed for his disciple Timothy. I pray that intercession be made for all people. God, you desire that I pray for others. I pray for my loved ones, my spouse (if you are married say their name for the Lord to bless them. If you have children, say their name right now and ask the Lord to bless them. In fact, take a minute and pray for the Lord to bless all of your family members).
Lord, I pray for my family and friends who are in a season of suffering, and I don’t have the right words to pray for them. It is hard for me to comprehend such a great loss, but your Spirit knows precisely how to pray on their behalf. May your Spirit help bring healing through your Word, and through other believers.
Lord, I pray for my friends who are paralyzed by hopelessness. You have good plans that will bring a future and a hope. I pray you will help them to grasp how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is for them. May they be filled with peace and strength. Amen
