He kept saying, “I believe…” What HE believes doesn’t have anything to do with the law, the Constitution, and what judges ruled on.

He said that the federal government overreached, but the clause states, each state shall appoint, in such a manner as the legislature thereof may direct, a number of Electors. How can the Federal Gov overreach when the electors of Wisconsin are appointed by their state legislature? Does he think we didn't hear him, or is he banking on American's being that stupid?

I think (hopefully) even they realize how terrible he is. 1 thing about North Carolina unfortunately our state is extremely gerrymandered whereas the more heavily populated progressive/ educated areas have less power and representation

Cawthorn attended Patrick Henry College during the fall 2016 semester to study political science, but dropped out after one semester and earning mostly D grades. Cawthorn worked as a staffer in the district office of Congressman Mark Meadows from January 2015 until August 2016. Cawthorn is the owner of SPQR Holdings, LLC, a real estate investment firm in Hendersonville. The firm was created in August 2019 and reported no income; he is its sole employee. He won the general election with 245,351 votes (54.5%).

Brilliant interview. Pamela really did her homework. Like how she put her pushback questions and kept on repeating THE FACTS. Could have added that those drop boxes were for THE PEOPLE, to make voting easier. He talked about over reach? They want to limit how people vote nothing to do with legitimacy. The Republicans just keep changing the rules to suite their agenda, not to help the people actually vote.

It is a year after this interview and all we have found out about little Maddy was also one of several Republicans in on Trump's Coup plot. He should be looking up 18US CODE sec 1512 and the twenty year PRISON SENTENCE that comes with being convicted of this statute. He was not alone though. Almost 100 of his Republican colleagues were also in on the plan.

His argument was that it was unconstitutional because under the constitution only state legislatures have the authority to set election laws and parameters. Local leaders went against this. It has nothing to do whether drop boxes are constitutional or not. It has to do on who decided. Interviewer could not comprehend the position and kept reverting to fraud claims misunderstanding what he was saying. I am not arguing for or against. It is not that uncommon to object. Democrats have objected in every rep president sine mid 80’s. They voted to impeach trump within 24hrs of his inauguration. Do they teach civics in school anymore is the US?

The problem with his argument is that no one complained about these alleged changes which took place months in advance to the election. They could have brought suit way before the election but choose not to do so. It was only after they lost the election, did they start to complain about these changes. So they waited for the outcome and when they didn't like it they then complained. And even if these changes were done at the state level - it doesn't amount to a violation of the Federal Constitution which is what he is saying that this is why he voted against certification.
Basically what he is saying is that he has the “legal right” to object even if everything is true and not fraudulent. He believes in the right of checking all the cracks for advantages he may have over his opponent and if all else fails just claim that nothing happened and still accepts the winning President. It’s a twisted way of doing politics, no democracy in that. And he keeps saying “he believes...” and that in itself is not wrong but when asked about evidence he just turns a blind eye.
This isn't true statement at all, he was very specific on the evidence he was going on. He accepts the President because there is no other option. He's obviously not doing what the rest of his party is doing. Just spewing out whatever might stick. HE was very specific of what was done wrong

Are there cases of illegal votes, of course there is and everyone should make every effort to prevent that from happening. But I don’t believe it’s right to have my vote or that of others to be thrown out and delay my elected representative just because of his beliefs. Im all ears, give me your facts not just a case. I was going to Vite by mail but I feared that Trump was making every effort to make it difficult when all I was doing was following the advice of health experts during this pandemic. I too wish for everyone to get their legal votes counted and every legal effort should be made as well to allow that in a time of crisis

This is one of the greatest interviews ever. She gets him to admit there was no election fraud, that Biden is the president, and that democrats deserve all the credit for securing fair elections in his state. Cawthorn had also previously claimed on his campaign website that he was nominated to the prestigious US Naval Academy but his plans were derailed by the accident. *In a 2017 deposition obtained by CNN, however, Cawthorn admitted that he had been rejected from the academy before his accident.*

That's why this woman seems like a great reporter but the viewers learned absolutely nothing. She dominated the interview, never interacted with any of his actual arguments, and guided it to her own agenda. If she wasn't so biased she'd be a great investigative reporter. But you have to acknowledge what's being said by the interviewee or nothing you say is really valid.

It is hard to defend MSM against attacks on theright bc of this, although they are all equally much less destructive and criminal than Fox. It has become more popular to interweave their personal outrage or thoughts into what has happened. And I get it, I have a hard time not showing my emotion when I am talking politics etc, but instead of reporting just the facts and letting the information speak for itself , they tried tactics used at Fox to boost ratings. They are not as bad as fox in that they are not propogandists, but since there is a personal opinion "take" on everything it makes it hard for people who primarily watch Fox to be able to see the difference. because all the stations seem to be reporting the same way it's left up to the viewer to decide which ones telling them the truth. Nine times out of 10 they're going to go and pick whichever station is confirming what they already thought to be true. of course if the primarily watching Fox then they're going to stick with fox. So it's been frustrating to watch because I feel like they undercut their own credibility. All that to say I feel like the direct questioning that this reporter did which was excellent has been ignored in favor of tactics that are used to invoke just more and more outrage at the people who storm the capital. And this might be an unpopular opinion but I don't hold those people that storm the capital as a countable as I do Trump and the politicians who caused this massive amount of distrust and cynicism in the election to begin with. I've tried to put myself into an almost unimaginable position of thinking if I believed Trump all of the time. And if I supported him and believed him and thought that he was good for the country and then he was telling me that the election was stolen from him it's hard to put myself there but I have to at least consider that maybe I would be compelled to act the same way. I do hold them accountable to him at least looked into all of the claims themselves because any real research done would have been able to quickly disprove any of their doubts. But I have one last thought in regards to another anchor or let's get a journalist who I feel truly stays on point with her questioning is Brianna Keiler. She is another no bullshit interviewer and I love it!
