64 year old here. Never too late to be stronger. May be a regular person but appreciate how this helps my pain and flexibility. Feet are our base. Getting older isn't for the faint of heart. Best wishes.
Her saying use a tennis ball: me using my dogs tennis ball and my dog literally thinking I’m gonna play with him lol
I am a cheerleader and I am using this video to help strengthen my feet and ankles, and it is working miracles! Thank you Hannah!
I want to thank you. I really needed to find a feet strengthing AND stretching video because I feel like need better Pointe for exam day and this really helped
This tutorial is an absolute miracle! I have been doing it consistently for around a year and a half, and the results are incredible!! I have struggled rather a lot with pointe work as my feet were abnormally un-flexible (my pointed foot was no different to a relaxed foot!), but now I can finally get my feet to a straight line!! Would 100 percent recommend this video to every dancer out there!
Oh my god ! I am exactly at your starting point now my feet pointed don’t even look like they are so I am going to work as hard as you and I hope I will get the same results ! ☺️☺️ congratulations on your hard work and your results !
@@jade_b Thankyou so much! Its all about the consistency and however long it takes, you will 100 percent get there!! Best of luck xx
That is an amazing comment. I 'vê being doing some exercises, but I will try these ones too, because I'm really not able to reach full Pointed feet, to be able to wear my Pointe shoes. I will work hard like you.
Did you do this everyday? I have flat feet and I want to work on getting better feet and a higher arch!
I get the worst cramps in my feet. I'm excited to try this. ☺️❤
I started pointe a couple weeks ago, and I realized my left foot had trouble going over, but my right foot had no problem. I'm trying this every day to see if there is a difference for when my next pointe class is.
So day one :✅
@@eidielondon2902 well, it definitely helped! Like i was able to stand up and balance much easier. And i could get over the shoes too.
So excited , feet are definitely my weakest point so I'm really looking forward to this routine to help me get better feet 🙂❤️ love you Hannah ☺️💗
Your feet are like hands 💀 as a fat factory worker I now see why my feet hurt so bad after a shift, aside from the "fat" issue, my feet really can't do much besides stinking and I expect them to nonchalantly carry my 90kg body. Thank you for making this video, I'll focus on your exercises until my feet are a bit more like yours before jumping back into dancing.
Edit: I feared this would turn into a cramp fest but it strangely didn't. Again thanks for the video ❤
@chubbydinosaur9148 I also thought my feet muscles would cramp, but they didn't. How goes your progress?
Thank you. I am a runner trying to strengthen my feet. This is very useful.
I'm an artistic swimmer. I need to get better pointes I started yesterday and I've already seen progress
I’m so grateful for you and your videos
I was like: "This is not going to be too hard I can do this one..." After I already done like an hour of strength and stretch. Wow what was I thinking hahah. But I'm glad I did it. It is a really good tutorial!
By the way Hannah, your penche tutorial is really helping me get my penche. I've been struggling for ages so to see progress has really been great. Thank you!
Yay! So happy to hear that my tutorials are helping you progress, keep up all of your hard work :)
Wow, what a generous chunk of content! Looks pretty good, too. Plus, great idea to use the hand shape to train the "dome". Haven't seen that before. Thank you for sharing these!
Excellent tutorial. Thankyou.
I enjoyed watching your ballet work outs
Thank you for this. I got Morton’s neuroma from doing too much ballet at 36 years old. This is helping me get better foot control articulation and strength
This video was super helpful. I'm a rock climber, weight lifter, and soccer player. In my early 20s, I rolled my ankles in soccer games and lost the strength to be able to wear heels. I want to be able to at least wear wedges so, I originally did this video for that but, I'm sure this routine will be great to create a better mind-body connection to my feet for rock climbing. Thank you again!
Love you soooo much
You inspiring me and my hole life change after I watched you
Thank you for every video you made it for us
Love you the most ❤️❤️ magnificent kind person 😌
I love this video. It improves my foot strengthness. Since I'm a ballerina. (a young one. 10 yrs old
I needed this! Thank you so much. Saved
I made my own playlist of your strength and flexibility and so far my feet are crying but they look better and my arch is a lot nicer
Thank you a lot ❤. I am learning free swimming and I recently even join a swimming club. I was not so happy with my progress so I bought me a book about swimming. They mentioned early in the book how important it is to have good plantar flexibiity showing picture of some of the best swimmers in the worlds. One of these guys could stand up from sitting position up to his toes💪. I realise that i was very week and that is probably one of the reason my kick under water is very slow☹️. The book dont really reveal so many good excersizes in the book flexibily so I am glad I found your channel. I just did those drills and It feels grate. You are the best and your voice is so calm and relaxed, i like the music it is easy to understand and I like you showing the time so it become easier to complete all drills. All the best to you ❤
This is another thing I really want to work on! Thank you for this tutorial!
1. Toes against ball. 2. Ball straight horizontal line under foot wide toes then stretched toes. 3. Ball round the outerside of the foot wide toes then stretched toes. 4. Fles toes and foot forward. 5. Sit on heel stretch foot. 6. Tummy straight knees toes pushing away 7. Ankle rolls
I am currently in Grade 4 and my exams are in the following month. This video has helped me improve my arch especially for my left foot. i am really inspired by you. :)
My friend and i wanna start doing ballet so this video helps us so much! I can see the diffrence! Even tho one leg is broken i try doing it with one leg till it heals!❤
I just started getting into poling and I wanna try this to help with keeping my toes pointed and pointing them beautifully.
These were really hard but thanks. I’ll do these for a month and see if my swimming coach can see the difference. I do exercises 2/3 times a day but this is next level.
Thank you for this video, I am a rhythmic gymnast, and these exercises helped me. Some exercises were hard, but it is very helpful.💜
I love the music ♡
Thank you 🙂
We also practice with similar exercises before our tai chi chuan sessions ;
My toes are not as flexible as a ballerina 😬 but we do not deplore any major issue !
Our masters say :
Practice 10 min every day ; no need for hours but EVERY day ! 😊
Irish dancer here to improve my arches!! Thank you!
Thank you
4th 😂 so excited for the video Hannah it’s gonna be amazing I’m sure❤️ ilysm❤️🥺💜💙💞😭💕🦋🥰
I always loved your ballet class!can you do a more advance class?Thank you so much!by the way you are my inspiration!:)
Thank you! I will definitely see what I can do! Maybe some more live-streamed ballet classes are on the cards for this summer? :)
I have high arches, that are sadly very inflexible so this'll help 😅. Oh my goodness! Just finished and boy did that hurt and help sooo much! Thankyou!
You are such a stillen trainer❤
Thank you so much luv 👣
I’m an ex ballet student and I noticed my point has been lost. My turns have been weaker, so I’m really excited to try to work at it again! Thank you for this 🙏💗
I really really love 💕 how Hannah martin teach and how she always say at start to be careful cause she's not with you.
So happy to hear that you like the tutorial! Being careful and listening to your body is so important!
i felt the stretch in my feets!
I’m 15 almost 16 and my DREAM is to go onto pointe
Problem is I’m graduating in like 3 years and I just started ballet so I’m hoping these will improve my foot strength and get me into pre pointe and pointe faster
Going to give this a go. I'm not any kind of dancer (or flexible in any way) but I think this will be useful for martial arts, as I find my feet cramp a lot. I have watched a couple of videos and there's no way I can do half of the beginner stretches, think I have a lot to work on
I hope that you found this video helpful! It's so cool to hear it helping people across all different disciplines :)
Man these exercises are hard. Just started with my day 1 of exercise for my fallen arch foot. The heel pain in my left foot won't go away for like a year now. Will try to do these exercises if it helps to reduce the pain and build back my arch.
doing this for 30 days or more!
Day 1: MY GOODNESS, This was hard but pushed through!
Day 2: same as yesterday 😂
Day 3: Its a bit easier to get up to pointe now! I repeated this video twice! Remind me
I did just the first stretch (toes) and my feet feels so much better.
My tennis ball keeps rolling away 🤣
haha, I used to have the same problem. It will get easier with practice
@@HannahMartinRG Do you have a tip on how to do it right? My body wants to place the big toe on top of the ball to keep it from rolling away, but I don't know if that with help strengthen my toes and feet 😂
Just started out point Gonna do this every day. See if it works
Thank you for the video!! How long should it take to see results? Also, I struggle to actually just do the doming exercise- my feet won’t go into the position unless I literally place them there with my hands. Any advice? 💞
It depends! If your toes are curling instead of pointing, you should do some exercises to change the way your feet point! One that’s really effect is, sitting down, put ur legs straight on the floor and sit up straight, then reach to your toes, put your foot in releve (pull ur foot forward but don’t point your toes), and then put your hand under your toes, then push your toes into your hand, and keep repeatedly do it! It make take a few days maybe even weeks, but after you do that you won’t curl your toes anymore. Hope this helped!
I’m not a dancer, gymnastic, figure skater, cheerleader, etc. Now my calves were burning I might be the oddball here who is doing this for other things ie lunges some people can’t do a full lunge cause of a bad knee I can’t do a full lunge cause of my bad feet. Now I can do lunges it’s just on one side I can’t get my knee to touch the floor. I did a few lunges after this video and was able to get lower. Also quick disclaimer when I say lunges I’m referring to front and reverse lunges where you bend both knees and not the lunges where your back leg is straight.
Imma try to do this once a day for the rest of this month.
The final exercise with the demi to maximum relive is with or without support?
My foot hurts when i try to point and i want to strengthen it while stretching the muscles and i also have a previous injury
I struggled with putting up the arch on my feet. I barely have one as is, because I’m flat footed :/ I also scrunched my toes a lot, I’m still new to all of this 😅 With practice do you think an arch will be easier to form ? Thanks!
Hyperextension at 0:17... My knees are naturally hyper extensive like that, currently I'm doing PT, trying to build my leg strength, what brought me here is I had a bad knee injury few years ago, I tore ALL of my ligaments and due to being naturally hyper extensive I couldn't get a surgery to fix it, because probability of the repeated trauma is up to 80%...Have you ever been warner against being hyper extensive and what dangers it may have?
😁Great!
When I should do this exercise ?
🌈🙄thankyou so much
how long did it take you to achieve a nice arch and demi point?
For the 20 demi workouts (in the beginning) I cannot do it. I have no idea what to do and I need help please! :) I tried the hand thing but I’m still so confused. Please. Help. Me.
I really want to do ballet. My mom signing me up and I’m doing tryouts after Christmas.
Me as a newbie, not a dancer or gymnast or anything, just wanting to strenghten my feet, after doing this: legs sore and quivering, technique is horrible but im still doing this again tomorrow 😂 it was fun
How often should a beginner do these?
Just finished it and it was amazing Hannah and the bubbly energetic music was good (ı have to say one thing there is a song which sounds like futuristic and you use it on your videos quite a lot and ı think its a little bit distracting :/ )
Okay! Thank you for your feedback, it is always helpful for me to know what works and what doesn't. I will keep it in mind when I created videos in the future!
Do you have any tips for how to heal from an ankle that has been twisted many times? 😊
Firstly I want to say I am not a physio therapist so I would definitely recommend taking their advice over mine. If I were in your situation I would wait till the ankle has healed from the sprain and then work on strengthening it. The above exercises should be helpful.
Omg😮
How many times a week should i do?
I am cursed with the flat feet, so I’m hoping this will help 😩
I hope that it has been helping, I have flat feet too and these exercises certainly helped me :)
@@HannahMartinRG No way you have flat feet!! 😮😮😮 But if you do, that's a testament to this work and your discipline!!
My feet are genuinely flat and pronated, but in the year and a half or so that I was doing beginner ballet videos, I was able to build them up into something that almost resembled an arch. 😅
I've been inspired for the longest time by somebody I went to high school with (this dates me), who danced with Baryshnikov at the ABT (no joke). He told me that he had flat feet, too, when he started ballet, but every day, he used to do an hour or two (!!!) of single- and double-foot demi-pointes at the kitchen sink, and he gradually built up his arches. When I met him, he had the most deliciously curvy feet... 😋 So I know it's possible. 😊
Your calfs look very tiny but somehow they are very strong, amazing :0
Luv the video have to work on discipline i would luv to have my feet look as pretty as your having problems with my falt feet in general I'll watch everything u show peace and good will
Thank you! My feet are actually something I am very self conscious of because they do not pointe as well as I would like them to. But I keep working on improving them and that is all we can do :)
Hi hannah im a self taught ballerina and dancer can you tell me what thing you wear for dance to reccomend?
I usually wear a leotard and tights with a skirt but honestly you can wear anything you feel comfortable in as long as it is safe :)
Hi Hannah I am a self taught dancer so how do I know that my feet are strong enough for pointe shoes ??????
Btw love you Hannah 😘
That is a tricky one as I would normally say to always ask your teacher. I would recommend asking the person in the pointe shoe store when they fit your shoes. Often they have quite good knowledge in regards to ballet and foot strength :)
I practice pole dance and it is very helpful.🎉❤
I have extremely high arches and ready to get back on pointe 48 yo
❤
👍❤️
I didn’t have any boll so I took a old orange and yes I thought you use Apple
dear Hannah thank you so much for your amazing help 👍 my feat are burning 😸 you are very sweet 💝
I am not yet on point but I really want to be on point, how can I get on point faster?
It is something that takes time and not a process you can rush. Keep working on your foot strength and it will help you get there :)
👍
❤👍
I dont know what I’m doing wrong 😭
I don’t really feel anything after the exercises but I’m a beginner so I should
je n'arrive pas a le faire comment faire maintenant ?🥺😩😓💔
👍👍❤❤
Do you think I can still get reliably flexible feet? I use to follow you and do a lot leg flexibility excercise but since then I actually lost my toes due to frostbite.
I'm sure I'm not your usual demographic (I'm 30, male, meathead weight lifter, not a dancer or gymnast at all), but this routine has helped me a lot. I've had a chronic ache on the top of my right foot and ankle, and after doing this workout just a handful of times, the pain is almost completely gone. Thank you so much!
