Glad you both had a great day at the con, brother, and especially pleased to hear Steph was well enough to enjoy it after what must have been a long previous day for you both 👊🏼 Nothing girlie about a tote bag, dude, they are commonplace at record stores for one! 😄 Always enjoy seeing you open your mystery boxes/bags from these events, and that Chase Creature from the Lagoon definitely got you your value back and more besides! Much love to you both, my friend
Thank you, mate. We really appreciate that 😄 you know the crazy thing? With everything the previous day I really wasn’t looking forward to this, however, it turned out to be a really nice day. Much love from us both, Brother 👊❤️
I've gotten wash cloths done up like those socks, usually has characters on. I'm glad you are feeling better Steph ❤ Great convention guys enjoyed all the photos
so glad you both went and had a great time and that steph is feeling better ,the deadpool bag is rubbish as i hate dogpool ,loved the cushions the soda was awesome and loved the jaws mug and the gremlins pin but i want the barry trotter socks
I only met Steve Whitmire and Ricky Tomlinson, both of whom were fantastic! There were several other guests I would love to have met, but it just wasn't be possible for me due to the over the top prices. I wasn't gonna risk throwing myself into financial debt, like some people would have. I had over £150, and by the time I spend some of it on Steve and Ricky. There was just £40 left, and that was only on two guests. This is what I hate most about Monopoly Events, they're a complete rip-off! Not to mention the guy who runs the company has a questionable track record. If they keep acting like this, they're just going to end up meeting the same fate as Wales Comic Con and Telford Takeover. Let's just say the owner of those conventions got a little too greedy for his own good. Not returning refunds to customers, paying guests or venue fees. And because of that he has since fled down south, and started a new cash grab with FanX Live. However, that doesn't mean he'll get away with it forever because history will repeat itself.
We’ve never done the celebrity thing personally, mate. I think it’s all very over priced. We go for the atmosphere, props, cos play pics and the shopping.
@@NikTyrrell Fair enough, I know everyone goes to conventions for different reasons. At least the other comic cons I've been to over the years are not like Monopoly Events. You don't see the likes of Showmasters or MCM putting up nonsensical prices like they do. I've been going to comic cons now for over 11 years, but even I have my limits on what I can spend my money. And while I love conventions as much as anyone else, I've learned over time there's a dark side to it all unfortunately. Not just with organisers, but even some traders are just as bad as well.
