I live in Ardee, which (please correct me if I'm wrong here) ... Had the largest raised peat bog in the east? So, we live in a mediaeval burgage property and like to keep it as old looking as possible. We also like to recycle and find new uses for old rubbish. (Mattresses are easy,... I should set up a business!! Anyway,... I built a big of my own in the garden... From an old fridge (made safe). Was hoping/wondering... If I got some turf and put it in,... Would it grow bog plants? Or would at least some of it have to be a top layer? I heard we can't buy turf for a while but would I be allowed in these circumstances? I'm thinking it would be great for the bees ... To have it in the middle of the town! 😅
