I get why they had to throw in the foil of his wife because otherwise it would be just plain happiness, rainbows, and butterflies without some kind of obstacles in their way but you know in the end that he's going to leave the wife so he can be with Kara. It's just that there needs to be some drama before that happens. However, I've got to say that I don't love his beard. Really not a fan.
