Stefania from this year's Eurovision was in Junior Eurovision with a group. The Russian twins who won Junior have participated in 2014 in the big Eurovision. I recommend watching those performances and honestly any Junior song from 2019 or 2020. They were all great!
You should do a full reaction to Viki Gabor and Roksana Wegiel, 2019 and 2020 winners. Those 2 girls also sang the song “Arcade” with Duncan, which was amazing.
FUN FACT: Russia, Ukraine, The Netherlands and Italy are the only four countries to have won both ESC and JESC in the same time period since the Junior Eurovision Song Contest begun back in 2003.
I love this. I remember how hooked i became when I first discovered Junior Eurovision. Definitely dive into some of the full performances! You’ll be so glad you did.
That second winner in the video from Spain, if I remember correctly, her runner up for the Spanish JESC selection of that year was none other than Blas Canto (ESC 2020/2021).
One of the reasons that they created junior esc is so they could set the age base for 'grown up esc' from 16... poor 15 year old singers, they end up in a limbo where in that age they cant participate in neither lol.. it is cool, tho it didnt quite catched up in all the countries, but beautiful anyway.. oh, and until some years ago, the song had to be 100% in their own language, and by rule, everyone starts with 12 points, so noone can actually get the nul-points...
The reason I understand that Scandinavia / Nordic countries withdrew from JESC was because the national broadcasters talked to each other and found a unified strategy out of JESC that they didn’t want to expose there national partisipants to the public stresses and limelight of JESC. It was a decision much based on the value to protect kids from to exposed situations that could lead to both emotionally and physically stresses. That again reflected or still reflect to some extent the value in these communities and countries.
I want to say that I really like the positifity of both of you guys, it makes the video's really nice! I also suggest to watch the performances of Georgia and Belarus from the junior eurovision song contest 2020, they were really good imo.
In case you want to know the ages of the winners,here it is: -2003 Croatia: 11 -2004 Spain: 9 (still the youngest winner, so proud of my country. And we are still the best at JESC,never been out of top4) -2005 Belarus: 10 -2006 Russia: 10 -2007 Belarus: 11 -2008 Georgia: 9/10 -2009 Netherlands: 14 -2010 Armenia: 12 -2011 Georgia: 11 to 15 -2012 Ukraine: 10 -2013 Malta: 12 -2014 Italy: 13 -2015 Malta: 13 -2016 Georgia: 11 -2017 Russia: 14 -2018 Poland: 14 -2019 Poland: 12 -2020 France: 11
it's 8-14 years old, and you can enter the OG Eurovision when you are 16. My favorite JESC winner is actually the very first one with Dino from Croatia, but a lot of them are great.
Fun fact: the youngest winner of OG Eurovision was Sandra Kim when she was 13 (this was way before Jr Eurovision existed), her winning was part of the reason the age limit for the OG comp was re.adjusted coz people started putting more kids in trying to recreate that sucess.
@@jazzycat8917 yes I know that. In 1989 both France and Israel had kids participating. France had a 11 year old girl and Israel had a 12 year old boy, and that was the year before they decided on the 16 year age minimum.
The age range in Junior Eurovision is 9-14, while adult Eurovision is 16+. Another difference that in the adult version the winning country is the one to host the next one, while in junior it's not necessarily the case and that is for taking a bit of the pressure from the kids. I absolutly love junior eurovision and you should watch it live and make a cut version of your reaction for this year's junior! it's on December 19th BTW the twins who won in 2006 went to adult eurovision in 2014 for Russia and got 7th place
From 2003-2006 the ages were 8-15, then the rules were changed to be 10 to 15 from 2007-2015, but after the Dutch entrant in 2015 was almost 16, which is the minimum age for adult Eurovision the rules were changed to 9 to 14. I think the youngest winner was 9 years old.

Waiting anxiously for Australia 2019 but please, make sure you react to the right video, the one at the Grand Final and not the national selection. Thank you!!!
In 2006, it was Denmark and Norway's turn to stop participating. The reason was that the Nordic countries thought that the ethical rules did not suit children between 8 and 16 years ...
Denmark,ok... But let's be honest, Norway quit because of bad results (except in 2005). They have still done the MGP Junior every year. And i remember that in 2019 an 11 y.o. girl win singing about a hard relationship breakup, which is not a theme for such a young age. So their arguements are invalid. They just don't participate because they can't stand that, unlike in adult Eurovision, in JESC there are countries that are better. The same for Sweden withdrawing in 2015. The rules have changed, specially when France and Spain returned to the contest as they asked of a rule change for protecting kids. They don't have proper reasons to be out of it.
Please react to Armenia in eurovision 2016 and 2009. Please. Armenia did not participate this year because of Azerbaijan and Turkey attacked Armenians in 2020 and Armenia lost 4000 young soldiers. And please react to System of a down - Protect the land
