Today I show the neatest DIY Shoe rack greenhouse garden hack. Come along with me as I show you what's involved in this inexpensive DIY Dollar Store greenhouse. I really think you will love this, so affordable for everyone to start your garden seedlings this spring. Enjoy!
I'm new to gardening and I just want to plant any and everything! This hack is the best ideal ever! It's portable and no mess. Girl I do love you for this hack!!
I already have this shoe rack lying about hooray!! And some painters tarp the clear stuff so im thinking of using that and putting the whole thing in my greenhouse to keep it warm enough for tropicals!
I don't have that chain of dollar store near me but you inspired me to head over to my local dollar tree. Thank you so much for sharing this information! I almost spent $55 on Amazon for a small greenhouse that doesn't even have shelves. Thank you!!!!
@@roxette24 they have moved the covers to a different section in our stores and have different shoe racks now - hopefully you can find something similar that works 👍🏻
So glad I came across your video! I've been brainstorming a budget friendly diy greenhouse that wouldn't require lots of building etc etc. Would you recommend this outdoors during winter days (30-50°F temps) for seedling or small plants? Wonderful idea and thanks for sharing.
Ty ikea bathroom tiered shelf is larger than this one and am not sure what garment bag would fit over it making a mini greenhouse-as long as you find something that works that important! 👍🏻
I love the table in the back of the video …. We made one of these tables also. It’s was so amazing to see the amazing transformation after burning the wood and brushing it. ( I forget the correct name for this style of wood working)
It’s called “shou sugi ban” I made a couple of garden boxes the year before and used this process to preserve the wood and my friend loved it so much they did this to the base of the table they made! I tell my friend how much you love it 😍
Wish I could find these shoe racks & storage bags in our “Poundland stores” here in the UK! I’m about to move in January to a garden property and found your channel with this amazing idea. Thanks as I will be trying to find these items I’d similar and let you know 👍🏾🙏🏽🇬🇧
Sounds good happy hunting are they the same as the pound shop? Spent some time in the UK England specifically. And congrats on having a place with a garden 🪴 👍🏻
@@heavenlymorsels unfortunately our Poundland shops aren’t as good as your Dollar tree when it comes to better quality and variety! I’m used to going to New York - Flatbush - for years visiting family and am always amazed at the better quality items I find when it comes to cheaper stores like Dollar Tree, Walmart etc especially household items. I’ve still got some bedding, bathroom sets and curtains from over 10 years ago 🤷🏽♂️🥂👍🏾🙏🏽🇬🇧
@@angelafrontin7687 sadly I am located in eastern Canada and we have no dollar tree here either we do have dollorama which is a smaller version I think 🤔 and everything in it is $4cdn and under not just $1 dollar.
@@heavenlymorsels Thanks 🙏 I went to 2 local Dollarama stores today, I guess they were sold out of the shoe rack…but I managed to get the trays, etc. Cheers
Sorry I don’t know why I thought you were in 🇺🇸!🤣Anyway, I think I found a solution - well maybe - if I can’t find them before I move, I can get a cheap 4 tier greenhouse, with shelves and plastic covering on Amazon or eBay 👀Thanks for the inspiration 💯👍🏾🙏🏽🇬🇧🙋🏽♀️
I uncover them to let them get sunshine, i will bring them in if its going to get too cool, I will uncove them if they need water..it kinda depands on the weather really.
That would make it difficult to take the cover off and let the plants breathe and get natural sunshine during the day? Easy to pull off from the top than to lift the shelves out imo.
You take the covering off to water - if the weather is nice and warm enough the plants can be exposed to sunlight during the day, you can water them as well! Then cover them up for the evening or over night indoors or outdoors - it’s really climate dependent based on where you live! Hope this helps!

Just thinking out loud, maybe put the zipper on top , then you just open and drop the plastic to tend to the babies 😁. Kinda like lol!! pull ups.
Great idea! Less fuss! Thank you!
Maybe put it on upside down, so it drops down after unzipping
Great tip!
Please stop thinking out loud

I knew it! I had a feeling there was a better cheap shoe rack for a greenhouse than my Walmart one. Thanks so much for this video!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Glad you found this helpful-I love this hack - I have four of them for my seedlings 🌱 I also remove the top shelf as the seedlings grow taller!
Genius idea! I spent so much $$ on nursery plants this year im ready to try my hand at flower seeds next year. Thank you for this brilliant idea

thank you so much! glad you enjoyed the video!
Im planning try using an old bakers rack
I don’t have the space and would need something smaller, like a multi tier rack you’d get at an Ikea for the bath/kitchen.🤔 Thanks for the ideas!👏👏👏

@@heavenlymorsels You are correct! My apology. Instead of something smaller, I need something not as wide; I guess that would be “slimmer.”
Brilliant idea
great idea, will be using this in my yard thank you
Wow well done thank you
Thank you too

Such a great idea as will do so
Just subscribed after watching your diy green house amazingly
Thank you so much for your support! Glad you liked the video!

To make things even more affordable, use toilet paper roll tubing cut in half instead of buying the little pots. Happy gardening.
Great idea I might try that this spring! 😍

What a great idea!!! We don't have Dollarama stores in the US. To find a suitable substitute, what are the dimentions of the rack and bag?

thank you!
Love it!! Do you leave it in the house or take it outside?
I use them in the deck or balcony! Perfect size for that and can take them in at night so nothing freezes
I don't have Dollarama where I live. Do you mind telling me the brand names of the laundry bag and the shoe rack instead?
Excellent hack! 😁
Very nice 👍 One thing: I don’t think you mentioned where you picked up the seed trays?
Everything was purchased at dolllarama. I even mentioned the cost break down. Hope this helps. 👍🏻

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wonder if I can prop up my grow light on one of these shelves if I skip a few shelf trays?
I think this can be done if you omit the top shelf and not put the tray on it and the bars will support the grow light! Worth a try 👍🏻
@@heavenlymorsels thank you!! 😁

Thanks for the tip!
If I am looking to buy/build a small 4 or 6 ft greenhouse, do you have any suggestions?
❤😂
Do you keep the plants covered outdoor or indoor ?
I uncover them to let them get sunshine, i will bring them in if its going to get too cool, I will uncove them if they need water..it kinda depands on the weather really.
Where did you get tge containers from?
You can see in the video every thing is from dollarama
No grow light? This just for germination?
Germination and then grow to starter plants!
Would it not be better to put the zip end on top ?
That would make it difficult to take the cover off and let the plants breathe and get natural sunshine during the day? Easy to pull off from the top than to lift the shelves out imo.
How do you water the plants?

Wow.. u have great voice..!
Awe thank so so much for the wonderful compliment
I am in Oregon and our Dollar Tree stores do not carry shoe racks.
Sorry to hear this - I know some folks have been finding alternatives at Walmart you could also check Amazon.
you sound so young.
Thank you
What dollar store did you get this stuff from?
I am in Canada so it was my local dollarama store as seen in the video! Thanks so much for watching 👍🏻
Thank you for this, but I don't and try not to buy anything made in china. So I will hit the mission thrift store and become creative
thank you!
That's not a hack.
Thank you for your positivity 👍🏻
Niiice! Saved me $50 @ JYSK
