My goodness, Ken. Talk about learning something every day.... I thought Glossy Ibis were just here in Asia, but I see now from eBird that they are very widespread. Is it fairly rare to see in the UK? I saw a flock in a rice paddy in Phichit a couple of weeks ago. I won't say how many or you will accuse me of Upbirdsmanship again!!!!! Ha ha....
@@thailandwild4897 this is not a competition but I did see 3 ibis on a freezing cold day in the south of England and not like you many ibis in the hot tropics. I think it is great that there's a small competitive edge to bird watching it makes you strive to go out and see more. Also isn't ebird a great resource I use it all the time for id and recording my sightings. Thanks for comments on my videos and just to let you know I have added a link to your UA-cam page on my recent full length videos, take care ken...
@@pennhillman Absolutely, Ken.... that is a great find and nice bit of film. I don't know Titchfield Canal.... whereabouts is that? Do you ever get up to Slimbridge? I can hardly believe that I lived in Wiltshire for many years before I came to Thailand and only made it over there twice!!! Actually, before coming here my main photography focus in the UK was Butterflies and Orchids.... the UK has a decent amount, but a sufficiently small number that one might have a hope of seeing and photographing them all. I am currently editing the December clip from Rocky Pool where the birds really start to come back as the forest dries out.... I got my first ever hit of a Common Green Magpie.... over the moon. Thanks so much for the links... I really appreciate it.
@HuaiKhayengNaturePark Litchfield is near Fareham in the Solent, my first visit, not been to slimbridge but on my list. Having to rely on others for transport at mo..
You caught the colour of their plumage beautifully.
thank you for your kind words ...
Wow, beautiful birds! Thanks for sharing 😊
It was a pity about the light because they do look magnificent in the right conditions..ta.
