Thank you for your videos. You're an inspiration for me. I am starting my 6th and 7th language with the objective of reading them. THANK YOU PROFESSOR AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR ALL THE SUBSCRIBERS!!!
I just wanted to say congratulations on the 100,000 subscriber milestone, and I wanted to take the occasion of the couple days after Thanksgiving to tell you how thankful I am that you made these videos and started this channel. I grew up a monolingual English speaker, my grandmother was a native Hawaiian, and my grandfather was from the Philippines, but because of the generation they grew up in, they did not pass their languages onto us. And when I found your videos, I also found the courage to try and learn my first language, which in my case was Spanish, and because I kept watching you, starting with your reviews of various older language, learning methods, and your practical advice on creating routines, vocabulary, acquisition, shadowing, etc. I applied those principles to learning American Sign Language, I got bored during the pandemic years later and learned Esperanto because why not… And now I’m currently working on both Japanese and Hawaiian simultaneously. And without you, I don’t think that I ever would have become multilingual or poly literate, from the bottom of my heart thank you for all the work that you’ve put in over the last couple of decades. It has meant a lot to me personally to see someone who embraces the world, one language at a time, one world view at a time, and encourages others like me to do the same. Because of you, I have developed many minds and many hearts. Happy Thanksgiving, and have a wonderful holiday season, and again congratulations!
Well done on the award. Keeping it real on the language learning. Not the bells and whistles and shrill presentation of many youtube language "experts".
