This is the Rammstein I grew up with back in the day. The first three albums will sadly never be beaten by them. The last two albums have been so underwhelming its sad that i cant liaten to rammstein much as im reminded of how amazing they were. I remember going out and buying Sehnsucht the second it came out, now I didn't even know they released another album two years ago.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the fear of being buried alive (apparent death) was such that some were actually buried with bells and similar instruments. However, this fear already existed in the Middle Ages, when medicine was not yet so advanced. Infant mortality was also so high that it was common for children to be given a name from the age of 2. Half of all children did not reach the age of 14.
The child's voice in the chorus is sung by Richard's daughter, Khira Li Lindemann. In the first version of the lyrics, the child did not survive. The band however found this to be too dark, and had Till write the child's survival into the lyrics. Till explained: "It's the basic fear people have, to be buried alive. The toy clock that is given into the grave is what ultimately saves the child, so in the end it's a good story. Originally, [the child] was supposed to stay in the grave, but then we decided within the band that we wanted the story to end well, that we wanted the child to be saved. So even though I make the basic concept of the lyrics, the ultimate product is really the work of all of us together."
@@annegretkasten6277 Feel free to post me a link to your source, but opinions differ a bit, some say in a written interview in Zillo magazine that Paul once mentioned that the band called the child Gregor and others confirm your statement, which I also think is plausible. 🤷♂
Hello. How nice it is to see a true lover of RAMMSTEIN! I actually went to their concerts twice. And the first time in the fan zone! RAMMSTEIN is very popular in Russia. They also came to visit us with pleasure. I wanted to draw your attention to how organic the German language is sounds! He is tough, but beautiful. At concerts they explode a lot of pyrotechnics. Till Lindemann has a pyrotechnics license. See you to discuss another of our common loves - Diana Ankudinova!
the Chorus Sings Richards daughter Khira Li (for Lindemann). Her mother is Tills exwife. Khira was born in 1991, Long before Rammstein was founded. The Song and especially the music Video for "Always in my Mind" (Emigrate) reflects the strong friendship between Till and Richard ❤️A beautyful emotional great Song, i Love this. The live Version ist also great. Many greetings
Hoppe Hoppe Reiter is a German children's poem. Hop, hop, rider, If he falls, he will cry. If he falls into the hedges, He will get frightened. If he falls into the mud, The rider falls with a splash! Hop, hop, rider, If he falls, he will cry. If he falls on the stone, His leg will get hurt. If he falls into the mud, The rider falls with a splash! Hop, hop, rider If he falls he will cry. If he falls into the ditch, He will be eaten by the ravens. If he falls into the mud, The rider falls with a splash! ...As a child I always found that funny😂
Hello, dear. I'm glad that you followed my recommendation regarding the channel.😊 First of all, I would like to say that the meaning of the song is a pretty tough nut to crack. It addresses a taboo subject. Child abuse. It seems to be left open what kind of abuse. Hop, hop rider is a well-known game here that adults play with small children. The child sits on the adult's lap and plays Reiter by bouncing their knees. In context it is made clear, what kind of violence is addressed. The burial of the child's living heart is to be seen metaphorically here. When it experiences violence, part of the child's heart dies. No savior/angel (neighbor, for example) comes to the child's aid. In the end, the child is freed from violence. Till wanted to let the child die at the end of the song, but the other band members were against it. Please keep in mind, when the song was written and back than it was unheard of to talk about this matter. With love from Germany ❤🤘🏻
A Song that I think is great, but I've always struggled to understand the Lyrics. I never thought of abuse as a topic myself, but I think it's a good explanation for the meaning of the Song.
Hey, could you maybe react to Always on my Mind by Emigrate. Emigrate is the solo band by Richard, and he also got Till as a feature on this Song. Its a cover from Always on my mind by Elvis, and its a very beautiful song.
The scene with the lighter should be from Kill Bill 2. PS: 6:48 At this point the translation is wrong. While the previous verses said “from the earth”, Till sings “on the earth” here.
@@B-Drags-Den make sure you do the live version too. It’s another Völkerball. This time in London. ua-cam.com/video/S_h3miFfEdc/v-deo.htmlsi=zzPPN0BMqh8HRowa

The girl singing is Richard’s daughter, Khira Li Lindemann. And yep you may have noticed the surname. Richard was with Till’s ex.
In Sweden we call it "belly bro's" when friends switch girlfriends between them.
WTF

the different possible meanings of a song are always great 😃 that‘s the beauty of Rammstein ❤
Tragedy and comedy and everything in between... Rammstein are art...

That's not quite right. Jakob Hellner thought it was too dark. The band members then named the child Jakob. So Hellner was the producer.
