Doro Pesch is kind of the original “metal queen” over in Europe. She is German and around our age. She was the lead singer of Warlock. She has been putting out metal music since 1980. Not sure if this was the greatest version ever, or anything, but it was interesting. Glad you enjoyed it.

Dorothee "Doro" Pesch is 59 years old, became known in 1983 through Warlock and is celebrating her 40th stage anniversary this year with guests of honor. Among others, Joey Belladonna from Anthrax, Hansi Küsch from Blind Guardian. She was the first successful female metal singer. In 1987 the band collapsed due to success, Doro lost the naming rights and continued solo. Although she lived in the USA for a long time, she was never able to establish herself there. She still sings 80s heavy metal to this day. She is also an example of how important hearing protection is. The music has made her almost deaf and she used a hearing aid today. After his death, Lemmy Kilmister had his ashes filled and, among other things, sent a cartridge filled with it to his best friends so that he would always be with them. Doro has a cartridge. I like when people put a new spin on something; however in this case, it's very hard to get behind. Doro's voice just can't reach the bar that this song needs, and Halford's voice (or what's left of it) was nothing short of terrible in this - that's as bad as I've ever heard him. Together, they've made quite a disaster out of a musical masterpiece. If you want to see the same idea executed properly, check out Exit Eden's cover. It will cleanse the palate of this atonal horror for you.
