So happy for him, he looks like a solid dude 👏🏻👏🏻 Also, Posty having it now is amazing. Guy is a MTG legend. This is one of the rare occasions when a priceless treasure falls into good hands.
Honestly I’m glad Post is the owner now. Some people think it’s ridiculous but honestly that card will be priceless 5 years from now. The fact it even scored a 9 is awesome. It could’ve been pulled by a younger kid who maybe doesn’t care to grade cards and gone down in integrity. Really cool story and outcome.
that's true, some kid could have opened it and just kept it in his deck and ruined it. As we know any folds cuts or rips even if small diminish the value of the card
Completely agree, his statement about howw Post Malone will make sure the card lives I think is so true. It's not just gonna sit there, he will showcase it and be proud of it.
Seems like this guy is the real deal and he’s right. He couldn’t have sold it to a better guy either, as Post Malone genuinely does love and respect the Magic universe and knows his stuff for real. Good stuff all around.
I'm so happy to hear that he'll keep his job and do whatever he wants off the dividends and not touch the amount he received. He's definetly not going to make the money vanish and go back to ground zero like so many would in his situation. It's so rare to see "luck money" going to a person with the right mindset. It gives me a big relief, and I don't know why. It won't affect me personally. It1s just refreshing to hear.
I am Happy that this whole story got so Wholesome until the End. He is Happy, Posty is Happy, Post Malones Financial Advisor probably gave up his Job. A real Everyone Wins Situation! By the Way I just found iut that you can see a lot of Videos of Post playing mtg on UA-cam, wich is really funny. His music isn’t mine but as a Magic Player, he is Enjoyable to watch for people into that.
I'm actually curious how he knew what to do, because he's pretty smart. How many people would find the 1/1 and immediately reach out to a lawyer and a PR firm?
A part of me wanted the ring to be discovered but not made public. Just a super powerful collectable kept secret by it's keeper. Imagine how bent on finding it collectors would become.
This actually went to such a good guy and Postie is the man ! I mean I still think it’s crazy that MTG move with the One Ring card but let’s see what comercial stunt they pull out next 😅
@@_cybik haha yeah, gotta love how a guy cracks a pack and casually makes 2,6 Million by selling it to post malone. And the first thing people say "what a moron he could've gotten way more money". Pretty sure the guy is happy with his 2,6 million.
@@TheRubsi could he have made more? Absolutely. Is this money enough to live off of? Seeing as he said "I'm literally investing all of it and am planning on spending whatever dividends I get out of it", my dude looks like he has a solid plan already. Hell, if he invests and gets "only" 5%? That's like 100k a year. Good years with 10% returns and my dude's going to be *comfortable* enough. Backseat bank account managers can /oh/ my /oh lord/. And finally, did he sell it to someone he wanted to? Did he find a home for the card that would NOT be speculators being complete and utter /WOW NO/s about the card and just vault it, and instead Posty's going to be loud about the card itself and show it and play with it? H*ll yes and I couldn't be happier about it.
That card could be discovered in 20 years later, or remain forever in the back of a warehouse, or be contained in the package bought by a parent for his crying 6-year-old son. Could it also be discovered in France, Spain, Italy, England. Africa? everywhere. It could also have been found by a person unwilling to give it away. Instead it was found quickly and by a conscientious adult near the country that produces magic. I'm wondering: if it had never been found, what commercial backlash would the wizard have had?
This is going end in heartache. His first mistake was identifying himself on TicTac. Now he’s identified himself to Canada with 2.5M burning a hole in his pocket.
what? do you think hes walking around with 2.6m in his backpack? he quite literally said hes going to invest his money and still work. dudes playing it smart and not balling out throwing money around. he'll be just fine.
i mean, well deserving guy to get it, but why the fk would u keep working, retire, live life to the fullest for fucks sake life is too short to be slaving away when u dont need to.
Man, this could not have happened to a better guy. Congrats to him!
It could have ... bunch of dudes who deserved it more
@@derionone True, could've happened to me even. 😂
@@deriononethe ring temps you
Now I don't wonder anymore how the One Ring couldn't corrupt him. What a nice guy.
Beacuce he had it sush a short time, like Deagol, Malone on the otherside might turnout like Bilbo.
I like how at the end the reporter holds up a random card to be like "ooh look what I found" ma'am that is a 2/2 bird token
Birds of a feather flock together.
That was my thought lmao. like "uhhh...that's actually not even technically a card"
Bird tokens are pretty great ngl.
Excellent work by this reporter in how she conducted herself, other reporters can stand to take note.
The reporter's last name is Bird, so she probably just got excited. But I like bird tokens lol.
The bird holding a bird

The one ring did not possessed him. He the real Frodo.
Or the real Sam. Sam was the strongest
Lmao im dead
A guy who wins a lottery, and actually has a plan for the money, and still work. Amazing.
It would be awesome to see him on Command Zone with Post.
Great idea!
I would have made that part of the deal

What a lovely well spoken guy. Good on him.
Post Malone is the type of guy to play this in his casual EDH decks
Completely agree, his statement about howw Post Malone will make sure the card lives I think is so true. It's not just gonna sit there, he will showcase it and be proud of it.
This is my local game store, and I'm so proud that the ring was found here!
Dooope, congrats Brook & respect.., you sold The One Ring to the right person!
Happy for this dude. Sad that his mom passed just a bit too soon for him to share the good news with her.
LOVE this guy! Honestly the 001/001 story is such a solid good one and I’m sure the people at WotC would agree.
I'm glad it wasn't found by a game shop or collector.
And I'm happy a true lover of the game ended up with it!

Great guy who found the card, great guy he sold it to. Win-win
Damn, if I got that card, between my love for Lord of the Rings and my love for money I don't know what I would do!
I don't play magic but this guy seems so genuine. Super happy for him
The girl gives off vibes this is the fist time she's heard about LOTR, let alone Magic the Gathering.
He seems like a descent dude. Glad he got this to happen for him and also seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
I can already hear someone memeing: 'Bring forth the ring, Malone!':
With this 2.64 mil I think he has just enough money to start a Warhammer hobby
Meh, he’s a million short with current prices.
good for him!
I feel so happy for this man ❤
This is awesome news
Wow just look at how his hand shakes from the excitement! I love it jaja

I would sell it too. Owning it would just mean intruders in the night.

I told my wife right before the set came out, if I found it I would sell it to Post Malone for $2m. This guy got a better deal
Congratulations on the life changing event. God is great! God bless.

What a lovely man and it all worked out so beautifully ❤
I wouldn’t be surprised if Wizards collaborated with this guy to make a card with his likeness

Thanks Chang for showing us your face before and after this video while you weren’t incorporated in it at all lmao

Why does it say with “Andrew Chang” but then it’s someone else doing the interview?

early 24 first we will get fallout crossover

It must be taken to Mordor and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came! 🥺
Legend!
Great video

She must be really interested in those tokens xD
Best outcome possible! I’m happy he’s not a crypto bro that burned the original to keep the NFT copy…
They just called Face to Face Games a comic book store. LOL.
Face to Face is a board game store not comic books
Damn, couldn've happened to a nicer bloke :) Awesome
Frodo should just nego with Sauron like this.
congrats
Your mom sent the Ring your way... ❤
That is a lovely way to think of it actually.
Too cool 😎
It wasn't luck. The One Ring chose Brook, and then it chose Posty
So what was the "Comic Book Store" that they were at? I doesn't look like they sell comics, at all.
$2.6M is a bargain compared to what it would have sold for at auction.

2,6 Million Canadian dollars.
