Synopsis
In this animatic, Dolores Madrigal is constantly overwhelmed by what she hears everyday, despite her discomfort she continues on with her day, from townsfolk gossip, to her family’s anxiety, to the cracks in the walls.
The cracks haunted her, she was scared of what the people said, she was tired of having to listen to other people, it felt.. wrong..?
Even though Dolores still had chores to do she abandoned them, and ran home. This is where casita crafts some stairs. They aren’t leading to her room, but to the height of the candle.
Dolores looks at the candle then out to the Encanto. She breathes and appreciates the calmness,, before it is ruined by people who needed her once more.
She took one final calming breath and let Casita guide her back down, she notices her hair is untied and goes to retie it. She then retreats to her chores, wondering if she’ll ever feel that quietness again?

I just realised that I the middle song, Delores was singing "Clear blue skies, no rain, just shine. If we stick together we'll be alright" she was thinking about how things would be if she kept quiet and let the miracle die. She was thinking as long as the family stick together, they don't need the miracle. I may be dumb and only realising this late, but I still wanted to share it lol 😆 😅

Did anyone notice at 0:56 when Dolores is passing her door, her picture on the door changes from her happy and listening with open hands and ears to covering her ears with her hands while she cries! Thought that was a nice touch to the song and story.

Ugh! I can't watch it. Haven't seen the movie yet and don't want any spoilers. But the bit I saw was very good.
It was really good! I loved it! Especially the different angles and how you drew everyone, the backgrounds and adding settings instead of just the characters also made it fun to watch.
Actually i remember i saw a TikTok saying Dolores was the villain because she wanted to get rid of the magic, that's why she didn't tell everyone everything. Because she wanted to get rid of her annoying power. And if you see closely at the final door, everyone is happy except for her.
This is why I think that while this song is good, I do not think its good to qualify it as "Unofficially Official". There are 3 reasons why I think this. 1.)Mirabel does not follow along in this song. All songs were sung by or sung to Mirabel. 2.) This would paint Dolores as even more antagonistic than
Abuela. 3.) The directors probably did not want a defined "Antagonist". They were pushing for generational trauma and not "I want to end the magic".

Everyone's talking about the door turning sad, but I'm more amazed at 2:53 where Dolores sees Mirabel's door disappear, thinking the magic disappeared and she finaly decided to speak up loudly, just to be hit with noise once again. Man, that's a cool shot

I keep thinking back to the movie when Dolores and everyone is looking for Mirabel after she runs away. In one scene where Dolores is waking through the greenery and lifts her hand to her ear, trying to hear Mirabel, but puts it down looking saddened. I’ve begun to think that she’s not only scared that she can’t hear Mirabel, she’s scared she can’t hear ‘at all’. I know in this video, Dolores is happy when the world suddenly goes quiet, but think about it. For over half your life, your mind is clouded with all the noises and secrets and voices, but then suddenly it’s SILENT. Like your ears are so overcompensated with the noises you’ve heard most of your life that you feel DEAF. That would be terrifying, losing the one thing that you’re most known for, the one thing that makes you, you.

I loved this animatic especially when Dolores finally gets peace and quite and then the music comes back (also is it just me or when Dolores passes her door the doors face is sad and like screaming for help)

I recently discovered this song, and I absolutely love this. Especially with Dolores’ actual actor singing this, I can see this being a ‘meanwhile’ song where the other members sing of their struggles while the events of the movie are happening. It’d be cool to see other family members getting songs like these! Great animatic as well, btw!
I gonna be honest with you , this is the second best animation of a song I ever saw in my life (planetary Go! Mettaton is the first) , don't feels like you are just stealing the hype from a amazing fan song , feels like your animation is the perfect complement to rise the song into perfection , the family madrigal solos were well adapted and you put effort to add things that weren't needed but add a level of complexity and deep to the music , like the flashes of the family feel pressured/sad , or the waiting on a miracle reference with Dolores facing her door , and her stress with the candle scene (probably deliberating if would be better for the family if they got released from the burden of being a Madrigal) and getting a new desing and having a second of peace , congratulations you made a masterpiece
