You never know.. This short wheelbase B8RLE may do well on the outskirts/hilly rural districts and places such as the Isle Of Arran who previously ran B10M PS’s compared to Streetlites now I still think there’ll be a niche market for diesel buses but your more urban areas will likely look at electric or hybrid tech depending on price of application etc
@@MandingoAfricano Electric is a long way from being viable in buses yet, they are still toying around with single digit numbers on fleets because they are not practical. 1st of all they are not capable of more than 45mph at the moment meaning they are useless on dual carriageways and motorways and the batteries are not sufficent for out of town work. Also due to the fir hazard the batteries pose the buses have to be parked 5M apart meaning a depot os unable to have enough buses if they start moving to electric. Electric buses can service town routes but at the moment they are just not suitable to form a significant part of a fleet. An electric bus is also over 50% more expensive than a conventional bus. The only reason any bus depot has a few electric buses is for public image and to be able to say look general public we're doing our bit. Diesel buses aint going anywhere that fast. The Glorious Scannias and not quite so glorious Alexander Dennis Diesel engines are sticking around for awhile.
Honestly I think the eVora is the best, single deck diesel bus on the market right now!
@4:47 why it's looks like a 3D Eruo Bus Simulator... 😂😂😂
Very nice I reckon it would be smooth to drive 😊👍
Oh they are, I sometimes ride the 458 via the white bus which uses these, and they are as good as they look. Literally the best bus in my area
Was greenroad driving you insane by the end of the drive?
Are they voith sounds like it at idle? I know most are ZF so wasnt sure
It seems to have a ZF EcoLife 2
What’s that constant bonging??? Is it the seatbelt chime?
I guess, the greenroad device, beeping at you if you haven’t signed in with a key fob and began driving
Volvo B8R is nice
Looks nice. Shame they are late to the market with it, surprised its not electric.
Same expected every bus from 2021 onwards to be completely electric

I'm glad it's not electric, the 7.7l engine is beautiful

@@gravemind6536 good to hear that diesels will be staying a lil longer :)))
Nice
Electric is terrible. Diesel is needed for buses unless its a train
Diesel-electric hybrid is the way to go
