Fading Steps:
1st step, guideline with trimer
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline #1 lever open
4th step, #2 lever open follow that with #3 & #4 lever open
5th step, blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
6th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
7th step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
9th step, open lever half way, continue blending
10th step, continue blending with lever open
13th step, do any touch up work
14th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
15th step, use electric shaver

Bruh I feel this so hard. Only have about 15 cuts under me atm and go up and down with confidence like crazy
Sergio is probably the most patient barber I know but look at the results man ... alot of barbers I see doing fades are going back over with guards and repeating cuts they have done, lose their place... I'm pretty sure Sergio knows exactly where he is and where he is going with ever guard he puts on, Quality over and over again.
@Kota Lz yea but I rmeener back when I was first learning watching guys jus switch guards and attack things you have no clue about. It makes it a lot harder to follow, His steps are neat and have also taught me to just stay near not jus use your eyes because following the system neatly always has a proper blend

Everyone has their own system when it comes to cutting and fading hair. My old method was to keep fading and not creating too many guidelines all at once but I gotta say I have been following his steps and my fades are coming out so much cleaner and crisp! I wish I found this video years ago tbh

I like them they cut real smooth I feel that cordless clippers will benefit the most from them because the ceramics on all my corded clippers I feel the ceramic blades move so much faster than the metal blades that it literally heats up faster which is the opposite of what they are meant to do so I switched them back to metal,but that's just my experience again perfect for cordless, I'd say experiment and let me know how you feel about them oh and the ceramics let you hear the hair being cut as well.

I like fading downwards instead of upwards so that way I don't raised the blend and create another guideline that's why I start with the lever open and close it little by little as I go down because you can take more hair off can't put it back on!
