Hi E... Tks .. Like many.. I cheat. Liking a "2min. full recharge" battery swapping... So bike wiring's all unchanged. Actually bought 3x same battery when new so I have a small inventory to juggle.. OK.. In truth for longer trips "some days" I can wire on 2x in parallel to double the AHs.. Most days I'm short range so lazy and appreciate the lighter weight accelerations from stops torque numbers of having just one LiFePO4 48V10Ah battery from my inventory. ;) cheers Just a lazy guy bribing a local auto mechanic to make/maintain as fixed monthly subscription for care and feeding my rides.
@@RobBigs-lu8bq Hi Rob... I "increase/decrease" my bikes battery capacity by using and swapping multiple batteries that I can "mix and match".. My trips vary from "short" to "long".. can act accordingly "battery speaking".. Short trips.. grab one battery as I'm a torque addict and less battery (weight)= quicker accelerations and hill climbs? .. My goal is fastest >average< trip speeds.. while living in a crowded stop-go-stop-go world.. All that aside... speaking of torque [snort]... `been following reports re hybrid bikes as hybrid energy storage combining in parallel "your battery" and ultra-capacitors... Using bike controller to blow the energy storage in the caps for seconds of accelerations.. leaving your battery not gasping for breath and heating up already to "go the distance".. following news reports from Europe about Nawa Tech motorbikes ... and saving the links.. may amuse to see stuff like "offers 10 times more power and five times more energy than existing tech - with conventional lithium-ion cells." ... and I've been saving the links [grin] ... and would appreciate your thoughts on a hybrid approach to energy storage.. :) ... Links to news re caps for traction: facebook.com/share/p/JKLQKE5kg46xSZGB/ .. Cheers..
Great video. I have a smarttrave stf01, I'm in new jerseyl and have been looking for upgrade videos for the battery, thanks!
So its got a 28 mile range before you have to turn round for the return home journey, peddle assist would be for better for increased range.
