I know this video is 6 1/2 years old, but I am just now watching it, and others might also. Anywhere, where the crank still turns and you have the engine torn down this far, loosen all the valves and apply compressed air to each cylinder using a compression gauge hose [don't forget to remove the valve stem at the bottom of the hose.] That might raise the head, or you could hydrolock the engine-fill each cylinder with liquid and install the spark plugs. Then spin the engine over. That should at least break the head/block seal.

What it help if you heat that up a little bit

I tried it with a brazing tip directly into the bolt hole, turned the broken bolt shank red but it still had enough grip that it didnt want to budge. I didnt want to risk cracking the head by heating it up in just one place so I didn't try that. If it was a solid casting I would have. Heating stuff is actually my go to trick most of the time

I'd probably lose that deep well socket on that extension

The impact socket was the only 6 point I had handy, 12 points like to round off bolts too easy when they're old. But yes it would've been easier with a shallow socket!
