When the album preorders had Ren in the battle for the #1 album in the UK, Ren added the deluxe exclusive album to Bandcamp with 22 songs - adding Castles and 3 instrumental versions of songs - to boost sales at zero hour.
Wicked Ways beat Castles Made of Sand onto the Sick Boi album as Ren felt it fitted better into the flow of the album. Gotta say I really like this track, particularly the sample.
This beat was also produced by Kujobeats and bought off of beat stars So i doubt Ren is going to publish it anywhere else. Ren put this one out to help push sales when sick boi was fighting for #1 and was just a few hundred units behind Rick Astley

The fact that he threw this song in in the 11th hour to push it to number one sick boi, shows what a master he really is. To have this song of this caliber as a throw in and not even care that’s not available on all platforms when it’s such fire goes to show how much he has in the arsenal.
I liked the line about the sand castles getting washed away in the surf and that's enlightenment - very much a recurring theme where the old needs to be washed away/destroyed in order for the new to be able to replace it (e.g. rebirth like in the track Masochist)

I have been thinking that very thought on recently listening to Ren talk about making songs for Saughterhouse. Did you hear him say how he has finished tracks and songs but keeps making new songs that are even better? This album is going to be so fire! 🔥

Love Castles Made Of Sand. I wish Ren would have released it as a full single rather than it be a track only for bandcamp. Ren’s storytelling in this track is fantastic. Like Ren comparing himself and his trails with pain to references of the trials of Sisyphus from Greek myth with the lines “Why am I carrying this boulder? Why’ve I carried it for miles? And fucking miles, and fucking miles”. Because Sisyphus is punished by the gods and made to push a boulder up a hill everyday from morning to sunset, only for it to roll back down and then have to “copy C, copy V” and repeat the actions again the following day causing much stress and pain.
