Thank you for the video Joe, all the videos in this series are very informative. I did have a question on adaptive cards, can the card response be handled in the card it self? For example, suppose I have an Action.submit button, it sends some data to a bot in the backend. Can the Action.submit be used to hide the action buttons also send the response data to the backend? I was looking at a way to update the card and hide the action buttons once a user has clicked one of the action buttons.
your explanation is really good!, thanks. I need to create a chat with adaptive cards and switch options and condition in it can you make a video with this example
Amazing to learn of the "msTeams" width option. Now implemented in all our cards thanks to you. BUT I cannot find it documented anywhere. How did you come across it please. Cheers, Richard UK
Hi Flow Joe , This video was really helping me to start off with Adaptive cards , especially the info with 1.2 was helpful . I have a question about Input.Text and Submit button . When I provide my thoughts and click on Submit on MS Teams , it gives me an error : Unable to reach app. Please try again . Any idea how this can be solved ?
Hey Sneha, can you please check that you’re using the action with ‘wait for a response’ in the title. It sounds like your flow is using one that posts an Adaptive Card but then finishes the flow rather than waiting for it to return data.
Hi Flow Joe - Great Video! Liked & Subscribed! - Q - If I have 10 channels - Depending on who is mentioned how can you specify which teams channel to look for a member in and post it? The case scenario is: I have a powerapp to appraise colleagues in a company.... If someone appraised someone in IT then a adapative card is pushed to a IT Channel. Or if someone appraises someone in Finance then the adapative card is posted in a HR Channel. Im thinking of creating multiple channels like: IT Recognitions, HR Rocgnitions, Finance Recognitions. Any ideas would be so so so so appreciated!
You would most likely use a switch statement (recently made a video on this) and make a case for each channel. When you pass through the channel that person is related to, you can then have a custom adaptive card for that channel with the channel preselected. This will allow you to easily react to the channel for a user.
Thank you for the video. I followed the instruction however i got this error The request failed. Error code: 'BotRequestFailed'. Error Message: 'Request to the Bot framework failed with error: '{"error":{"code":"BotNotInConversationRoster","message":"The bot is not part of the conversation roster."}}'.'. Could you please help.
Brilliant overview Joe. Thanks so much for taking the time to help explain these tools and all the exciting possibilities!
I never could thought that of my own. your are a genius.
Followed your video to make my first card. thanks Joe
This video was very useful. Will you do a follow up showing how to add mentions to the adaptive card?
Perfect thankyou.

You need to invite the bot to your team if it is private
I got stuck at 17 mins, you say you created a flow but how do I do that?
With power automate
The most important part is what happens when you click submit, unfortunately we did not see :(
You can't see the video - its too out of focus
