Crono Trigger is the most satisfying JRPGs ever! Tye weapons are so good and the powers are so fun to use.
As for missing the True Chancellor in the chest... I did that way back when I first played the game. As you leave, he comes out on his own and says something like "Wait for me!"
I want to sit through an 80 part series
I shed a tears as I got flash backs of all those good times i had with this game

I've played Chrono trigger so many times over the course of the past 13 ywars. It is an amazing game with an incredible story
Best play thru of this game I've seen. Finish it bro. You won't regret it
loki have you seen a game called *secret of mana* its pretty hard but fun it also has real-time battles in the overworld
if you do play it play the og snes version if you have the time i think you should play it (its also multiplayer when you get more party members)
As a long time player of Chrono Trigger, Lucca (and all the females) are tanks because they get better armor than the guys. Lucca is slow, but ends up being the 2nd best offensive magic user, and speed is easy to boost. She quickly turns into a real monster in your party and I absolutely love her lol
My favorite character is Magus, he's super versatile, but MVP is probably Robo: he hits hard, has a ton of defense, is the BEST HEALER, and if it was possible to run a full solo member through the entire game, Robo would be the easiest to do it with.

Nah, there's no objective/waypoint, not because you're just supposed to know, but because you're supposed to explore, examine, and put two and two together in a somewhat natural way.
Nowadays most games have a lot of systems to make it "easier" to progress, but that also takes away from the experience of progress.
It's basically the difference between getting on a horse and riding it, and getting on a horse and riding it while having a guide telling you where to go.
Find your own way, get invested, and the experience will be all the richer for it. 👍
If you ever play this again, I'd recommend turning off the remastered graphics! It'll make it a little more crisp, because the remastered graphics cover up the original pixel art.

Boy, you weren't even a twinkle in your mother's eye when this came out. Yeah, it's the best rpg ever made, it gets to the point and has repayability in spades. These days, they'd release the endings as dlc, and it would end at magus. Devs these days are trash and I'd sacrifice a pretty penny for something as good. Pity we can't go back to the good old days... when gamers made the games and weren't handcuffed.
Also, I laugh at the line "there's no objective, no way point, we just gotta know?!" yeah... way back in the day you played the game and the game didn't tell you every little thing. Kids these days.
