Absolutely love this Church and Choir. Praise to all involved especially choir director and director. God bless you all and the Holy Catholic Church -from Whitby On Canada. We love USA. God bless.
If students MUST learn about Qu'ran in some places, the separation of "church and state" is already broken so why can't us Christians pray and have bible study? Its pure hypocrisy! I am a seminarian; for me this is a very important topic!!!
@@jordandrevelus8329 2 wrongs don't make a right. Organized parayer and bible study in our public schools is unconstitutional. Quit lieing. Students in America don,t study the Qu'ran in publicx schools. That is a lie. Keep your politics out of my Catholic Church. If you want organied prayer, go to a Catholic School.
@@jamestidwell4989 there is no reason to get angry and accuse people of things. As Christians we are meant to love our neighbor and everyone in our church and the world around it. I graduated public school three years ago and this was going on. I learned about Islam in a public school and you should research places like Deerborn, Michigan. The church believes in religious freedom and this isn't it. In my own personal experience, I was told that I couldn't lead a private prayer with the Catholics around before a track meet, and yet Muslim students have special concessions made so that they can pray. I am not lying, and it is very rude and disrespectful for you to say so. I don't know when you went to High School but take it from someone who did recently, Christians are looked down upon. Also, note how I defended religious liberty and said how the separation is broken. If students want to meet privately during lunch or after school hours for a club that reads the bible, there should be no reason why they can't do this since the school is not endorsing it. Some schools have Islamic club but Chrisitan clubs are frowned about. This isn't about politics, it's about defending the faith wherever possible. Vatican II points out that the church must exist in the modern world, and so it is. We must stand and defend the rights of the person, and being able to pray, by himself, is certainly inalienable. It is not fair that certain students can have concessions and some cannot based on bias. Where I am getting most of this is from scripture and personal experience. Look at the Vatican II document Gaudium et spes as well as 1st Thessalonians Chapter 5. The church is not your nor mine, it is God's church founded when He told peter the very words, and died on the cross cementing our salvation. As Christians we must defend the faith not attack our own brothers, whether in our church or outside. There are no politics in my words here and in the scriptures which I derive my beliefs from, nor even the fathers of Vatican II which give me further guidance. This is the teaching of the church, and as I said, I only asked for students to be able to pray on their own, and the right has been denied for Christian students in particular nation wide. My right was taken and my fellow faithful Catholic's rights were taken from us. This isn't about politics! Its about our right to commune with our creator.
Congratulations on becoming catholic at age 60. That's wonderful. Welcome home. I grew up catholic, though I continue to learn more and appreciate the church more every year. Thanks for the kind comments on the music too.
I am not catholic, but I love this church, its worship and choir. I believe there is just one church, made of up all those love Christ and communion is the central act of worship, no matter whether led by priest or lay people.
Listening in August 2020, trying to make some sense of the mess our country seems to be in. My heart is troubled, but listening to your choir always brings a blessing.
Thanks, it took some weeks to become familiarized and special teaching sessions with my sponsor, plus The Rite of election and Confession. The welcome home is how it feels going to mass. In a worldly world it is lovely to have such a sacred religion that is so special. My family don't have my faith but know that I love going to mass, and my husband framed my Confirmation Certificate for me, and one of my daughters came to the Confirmation,( and said we got up and down a lot and said amen ! )
I just discovered this channel and I must say, there are many wonderful things that make each of these videos a gem. I love the Point of View from the back row of the choir that also happens to show what is happening with the service. Amazing that you can get such balanced sound. Also, excellent organ playing. thank you! Also, the conducting is just magnificent. It is obvious to me that the choral director is dedicated and inspiring. Made me think of various conductors I've had in my life, and I thought her sense of musicianship was exquisite. Thank you Thank you and God Bless!
Great rendition. I love the accents put on by the main singer. I’ve been looking for a version like that for a while… it’s how it used to be done when I was younger, but my church doesn’t sing it that way anymore. Also, the main singer is gorgeous
Many thanks for replying so quickly, I don't always go back to my channel till the next day, but I did tonight ! I go to The Parish of the Sacred Heart and St Margaret Mary in Dereham Norfolk, and love Holy Communion. I became a catholic in 2011 at age 60, and I love it.I must say your church and choir is lovely, well done to you all. I attend sunday mass at11am.EWTN is wonderful on SKY too.

I've seen a couple of your videos now, very good quality stuff. I'm going to stop in next time I'm passing through MN. I just posted a simple guitar/vocal version of this. Blessings to all of you in your ministry, and best wishes to your community. Peace!
just curious, are you still at this church? Don't see any new updates. Covid took a toll on my small church, still no choir, just me the elderly (lol) musician, but hoping to get choir started back soon. They loved this song, hoping to teach it to congregation in next couple of weeks. 💙💛🙏
The choir would have received after singing this hymn as I see the priest has just started distributing communion below. Normally someone comes up to the loft and the choir receives during a hymn (while singing and carrying their hymnals with them) or while the organ is playing alone.

Joyful tears of blessed relief during this wonderful hymn. I have witnessed it myself. The good, the true and the beautiful..
pray for prayer back in schools and bible studies in schools

Let’s all keep trying to live this! I grew up singing the descant part of this, which is heard nicely in this presentation.
It is great when the sopranos shift into overdrive in the last verse!
It's called the "descant" and it is an additional line to the soprano part.
