These models are actually amazing. They don't just seem absolutely terrifying, they seem realistic in some way, similar to the actual animatronics we can found in Chuck E Cheese for example.
I love how it ties in with the later video. The ears and eyes don't move because the dead child only controls the limbs and head of the suit. This means that certain parts like the ears and eyes are nearly completely immobile.
Not only do the animatronic models look "authentic", the attention to detail makes the tape itself feel real. Stuff like the little pauses after Freddy talks, and how Bonnie does every movement in a "perfect" way (ie, perfectly adjusted and moving the way it should). Even the art style of the logo ties it into the period. Gives me the same eerie feeling as watching actual diagnostic tapes

Also just saying, the section with Freddy was great and a little unsettling since his mouth didn’t move.
The beginning of the tape feels so realistic. The vhs camera mic becoming distorted because of how loud the stage was if it was really that loud in real life. Other than that, you can still hear the voices of people in in the background as the loud sounds and music of the stage overwhelms their voices. The camera angel and lighting is fabulous, so are the animations of the animatronics, it really does give them that chuck e cheese vibe but feels like a video taken from a family camera. It really does give the found footage feel too because Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza (Fnaf 1 in this scenario) was opened possibly in early 1989 through 1993 when it was permanently closed and abandoned, making the vhs video feel like a ghost of its past. Its really amusing to use your imagination in these fnaf vhs tapes, thats how good they are.

Quick note - it appears, if this follows something similar to the games' storylines when it comes to the retirement of springlock mechanisms, that they did finally get around to making a separate exoskeleton for the suits to be built onto for wearing, because as is obvious by the eyes and movement of that intro Freddy (the one who instructs you, not the stage animatronic), it's a suit worn by an employee.
The craziest thing about FNAF is that it got me so genuinely interested in animatronics, and I grew up with not a lot of money to go to chuck-e-cheese as a kid so I've only been once just recently this past summer, and watching it put me in shock. Animatronics are an art form to me, their movement and history and process and the characters they envelope amaze me and I'm so glad this series portrays them on a very realistic and chuck-e-cheese/rockafire explosion light for the models.
Older looking animatronics and robots honestly seem creepier than newer ones. Older ones usually tried to be more realistic and more detailed, while now animatronics are more “cuter”, or cartoony. Older animatronics usually have eyes that stare into your soul, and strange facial features, while newer ones have larger eyes like cartoons. Sometimes they had more teeth too, with didn’t help for obvious reasons. Sometimes the way the robots move are just unsettling, sometimes they don’t blink, or their jaws or mouths don’t move. The faces were usually made out of some sort of rubber, so the faces were creepily detailed and realistic, and sometimes the rubber-like material make the face and jaw look weird and move in strange, unnatural ways. Some animatronics looked a little better then, but they still didn’t exactly look cute in any way, to me, atleast.
@@starryy1044 Some of the animatronic masks are actually made out of silicon rubber, like the Rock-afire explosion, and man, you don't want to leave them running for too long or else their masks will start to melt. Not only making them break but also making them look ten times creepier.
@@TempusTheFirst It's not a result of them running too long. It's just the result of the latex being old. That just happens eventually over the years. Sometimes I forget that these are analog horror, and just get lost in the training tapes. You've definitely nailed the atmosphere that leads up to the creepy stuff. In my opinion it makes the creepiness that much more effective.
I’m not an animator but the robotic movement in this one felt pretty solid, aside from some uncharacteristically fast moving parts and joints bouncing too much when they reach the target position, the sound design and general movement felt pretty solid, nice work
I think the "bouncing" is meant to convey that the metal parts have a lot of intertia and so the momentum makes parts of the robot that aren't actually moving "shake" a little bit, like it's not 100% perfectly stabilized. Given how every movement is very start-and-stop with no momentum, this makes sense.
The parts have always been animated like that by most people. While logically it would be quite easy to program an animatronic like these to move in many ways - you could make it move organically (or at least with less stops and starts, just make it ramp up in speed when moving, give it some variance in its movements, and a whole lot of idle animation and it would seem like it's a worn suit), or it could move excessively abruptly, or like these, where they snap into place and intentionally rebound. This style of animation, however, cements that it's a heavy metal mechanism moving into place and that, as much as they try to imitate life, they never will succeed - it also helps the possessed or worn ones be very easily differentiated, as they move smoothly and organically. It's a tad aggressive, but it helps make it obvious.
These vhs tapes have made me realise I want a Non-Cursed version of these kinda repair/troubleshooting tapes, maintenance, joint testing, just all that kinda stuff without the spooky ghost shenanigans
You were able to capture perfectly, the realistic movement of real life animatronics - I noticed that as I have watched a few videos of Showbiz and Chuck'e'Cheese and, yeah it was very well done. The designs look awesome not to mention. Plus, the machinery sounds used in this were very well made. Great job! Oh! And the pizzeria looks quite fitting for the 80's. No seriously, there's way too much stuff for me to mention. Basically, bravo. This was really well done!
i literally cant express how much i love these models- even the background was amazing, one problem i had with FNaF is that the buildings never really looked like a place kids could run around in and stuff but just that one little background shot we got with the Freddy mascot worker was so well done i love it!
In an alternate universe, Freddy Fazbear’s is a game where you watch over the animatronics in the day and take them back to parts and service every once in a while to repair them and make sure the employees are doing their jobs. The pizzeria is owned by two friends, William and Henry. They enjoy their job and love children.
Gotta agree with you on that one. I always liked horror stories, but FNaF never seemed one for me, it was just a game about haunted animatronics. At that time, there was no big explanation, no killer, just some souls in ani, atronics trying to kill you. Even when we had a killer and a better explanation, it was too convoluted to understand. And then, we got Squimpus and her incredible view on Fnaf's story.
this series of tapes terrify me, they seem so real, the animatronics look like actual ones in real life, like creative engineering ones, the environment and background seem so realistic, and the lighting made everything spookier. great job as always.
The monitor looking like a Sony trinitron was a nice touch, those were usually used by businesses (like afton robotics or fazbear entertainment), rather than consumers.
Love how these versions sort of capture an outdated fashion for animated characters really wraps the realism of all this together. Makes you feel like this was actually a real historical event. But like, it didn't. You're all looking at me unsure. Why? It didn't. Right?
Here’s what I love about this it doesn’t really go for the normal junpscare type stuff everyone does with fnaf horror videos instead it relies more on it’s visual effects which are made beautiful
These are amazing but as I’ve stated before, squimpus’ are amazing as well, these are just an amazing recreation of those with battington’s own little twist on it
I love that your versions of the FNAF crew are clearly based on Showbiz Pizza/The Rock-Afire Explosion. This makes me happy as hell. The creepiest bit about this is that THESE ARE BASED ON REAL ANIMATRONIC TESTS. Usually they used cassettes instead, though.
I love these models they certainly give me the vintage animaltronic feel and look friendly but then just creep the living hell out of you. Amazing job!
Hi everyone who has sent this like 3 or 2 years ago. I have recently just started learning about fnaf and have got into the lore and holy is it deep. I’m watching these tapes and these itself give me chills down my body.
Yet another fantastic short, everything about this screams quality, the little camera segment at the start was a nice introduction, and it was very well animated as well, but it kind of doesn't make sense in-universe for it to be grouped up with the actual tape, but I can excuse it for the sheer cool factor of it. Another thing I loved was the little Freddy fazbear mascot costume introduction at the start, the animation there was a bit wack, but it gets the job done surprisingly well, and the actual joint movement test bit and its following scare was pulled off amazingly as well.
It’s easy as 1, 2- *freaking dies* Ok anyways, the animations are amazing and how life -like the camera qaulity is, it’s realistic. The sounds are really cool too!! I love how even if it’s the same sounds for the bodyparts on each side, I like how each one on each side is a bit diffrent. The silence is so loud too.. it’s so scary I love it :,)… Oh!! Can’t forget that sound when the lights came on after bonnie dissapeared, that was cool.
I like how the suspense for the entire animation isn't just the fact that the tests get gradually more incompetent, but the fact that all of the necessities for this animatronic to chase you down and rip your spine out of your back were the parts MADE SURE to work. Meaning the joint movement test was completely unnecessary
Very nice. Honestly, especially after reading the description, this was something I was hoping for/kind of expecting. That your take on Squimpuses tapes would have the familiar setups and maybe story/lore but would execute them in new ways. Like with this tape, it's still the same idea, a tape covering Bonnies' Movement but something goes wrong, but what happens in the tape (while still similar) is different than the original, paying respect to the original video while also giving it a new spin, helping it stand out on its own as well. I'm honestly stoked to see what you do with this series. Especially if/when we get to the episodes like "Animated Cartoon" or my personal fav tape from the series 'Memories". But those are thoughts for another day, all in all, good job as always Battington.
0:28 thats a creepy freddy fazbear walk around costume good job (from what I know they discontinued springlocks after the chomp of 83 so that suit doesn't have springlocks I believe)
I love your vids because you do something few creators do, no jumpscares but unsettling atmosphere. The mix of the models and the sound design, among others, makes for a creepy and down right disturbing vid. Hope you have a nice day!
@@games_on_phone89 I mean yeah, but it was done even better then fnaf does, and that says a lot. It also uses the same style of suspension jumpscare as fnaf which makes it feel more authentic.

It’s cool that you’ve taken the concept of the original video and put your own unique spin on it- I’d call this more of a reboot than a remake Also I believe this is our first time seeing Chica’s cupcake in the new style
Bruh, why is it that your renditions of the fnaf gang are far more terrifying than anything else I've seen? It's like you took what made them creepy, and enhanced it with realism and the Battington touch? Like, if I saw these things in a entertainment place, I'd just straight leave.

Freddy: This is easy y- *Bye have a great time*
I wanted to see this comment
i literally cant express how much i love these models- even the background was amazing, one problem i had with FNaF is that the buildings never really looked like a place kids could run around in and stuff but just that one little background shot we got with the Freddy mascot worker was so well done i love it!
I love how Bonnie is staring makes it even more scary even at the start.
In an alternate universe, Freddy Fazbear’s is a game where you watch over the animatronics in the day and take them back to parts and service every once in a while to repair them and make sure the employees are doing their jobs. The pizzeria is owned by two friends, William and Henry. They enjoy their job and love children.
I swear to goodness sake when they were testing Bonnie’s legs I thought he was just going to charge at the camera.
Creators like you and squimpus made me a fan of fnaf again.

Btw, man, your animations are really improving, you're only getting better at this each day time passes, good job
Thank you

this series of tapes terrify me, they seem so real, the animatronics look like actual ones in real life, like creative engineering ones, the environment and background seem so realistic, and the lighting made everything spookier. great job as always.
0:28 as we can see here. He could possibly be wearing the spring lock suite with those fake eyes. Just like in the nonexistent video.
Why? It didn't. Right?
Everybody's gangster until Bonnie stares into your soul
I just love this! The filters to make it look old are amazing, and the models are more childlike and creepy.
Here’s what I love about this it doesn’t really go for the normal junpscare type stuff everyone does with fnaf horror videos instead it relies more on it’s visual effects which are made beautiful
These are amazing but as I’ve stated before, squimpus’ are amazing as well, these are just an amazing recreation of those with battington’s own little twist on it
I respect your view

0:34 Freddy: “OH HELLO THERE!"

I like how in the start of the video, bonnie just stares into your soul, while his neck is broken
This feels like a real simulation that'd go perfect with the actual game- or even its own game
0:50 My dad teaching me how to abandon children.
Thanks. You’re right about the first clip. I thought of it as showing that bonnie is not working right
It’s easy as 1, 2- *freaking dies* Ok anyways, the animations are amazing and how life -like the camera qaulity is, it’s realistic.

I now understand why Bonnie gave Scott nightmares.
Who knows. This might be what Scott meant by “Bonnie gave me nightmares”. He wasn’t kidding when he said Bonnie scared him AF.
the sound designs for these are absolutely phenomenal
Freddy disappeared as fast as my managers do when I need them
These are actually incredible, I love how realistic they are! It really makes FNaF seem real lol

i never thought the kubrick stare could be effectively applied to an animatronic rabbit. i was very wrong. this is Terrifying

I love the way you design these animatronics, especially Sofia in harmony and horror. She always gives me the chills.
I love your vids because you do something few creators do, no jumpscares but unsettling atmosphere. The mix of the models and the sound design, among others, makes for a creepy and down right disturbing vid. Hope you have a nice day!
i mean, there IS a jumpscare in this video
y'know, the one with bonnie rushing towards the camera as the lights flash
@@games_on_phone89 I mean yeah, but it was done even better then fnaf does, and that says a lot. It also uses the same style of suspension jumpscare as fnaf which makes it feel more authentic.

its alot more scarier when you expect a jumpscare and dont get one
Battington's tapes are unique for sure.
I get more of realistic vibe than squimpus or memebear.
Definitely an amazing tape! ❤️
It’s cool that you’ve taken the concept of the original video and put your own unique spin on it- I’d call this more of a reboot than a remake
Also I believe this is our first time seeing Chica’s cupcake in the new style
0:27 freddy actually hums "the toreal dor march", which plays if the power runs out in fnaf 1
I like how the beginning of freddy teaching you how to do this stuff makes it look like the original three suits can also be worn
Amazing job with this one. The second tape in the series was never really my favorite, but this brings it to a whole different level.
i like how you used freddy to explain how to test bonnie instead of just text on screen, nice touch
Bruh, why is it that your renditions of the fnaf gang are far more terrifying than anything else I've seen? It's like you took what made them creepy, and enhanced it with realism and the Battington touch? Like, if I saw these things in a entertainment place, I'd just straight leave.
These models are like FNAF plus's designs, but scarier. Nice work.
