      Not criticizing you but you do realize in the wild fathers have no role in raising orangutan infants.

      Orangutans are intriguing to me because they don't seem to get in a hurry. I'm sure they do but I can't recall seeing one rushing . The infants seem to let things unfold and and appear to be interested in whatever may be occurring before their eyes. Mothers seem to be gentle and not trying to bash there youngsters into submission but help them learn patiently. Now watch a long tail or Rhesus macaque. Perhaps it's due to the weaning period being or supposed to be complete after a year with the latter and 8 years with the apes. I've seen makes be forceful about their authority but they are solitary so they aren't near as patient as a mother teaching Jr not to eat the yellow snow. I have watched 1min of this video so watch mom slap the baby around just to spite me. Just kidding I think the baby would have to really test mom's nerves before she even warn him with a noise.

      I sit here as a baby monkey hater. I can't help it. I want to throw baby macaques like football. but when I watch baby orangutans, gorillas, chimps, I think they're so amazingly cute and every other animal I've seen. everything from baby rhino, humans, cats, etc. itd starting to annoy me, what is it about macaques that makes so many people who hate nothing else want to kill em? they seem to really be vermin. I swear I empathize w all creatures, but not macaques

      with mammals they usually have an insulated glass because they are aware of the actual voices of the visitors and that is a distraction with their strong intelligence. so usually it's different than with the other animals. which I had asked about because sometimes it gets so loud I couldn't imagine being an a glass area with all those people talking all day long. this baby's old enough to start hanging on to ropes and things I can't wait to see until maybe we can see it outside with its mom. did you see Dad back in the right corner he is large my goodness but he is 48 he's a full grown male. 🥰

      The fact that she sexually abuses her own baby makes her a far WORSE parent than most humans. She's a disgusting pedophile and her baby should be taken away from her and then showed off in front of her on a daily basis. Maybe if she sees that you can raise a baby without f*cking it, she'll remember that the next time she gets knocked up

    Momma is so elated with her new baby. Just like humans, it's like time and everything else in life has stopped when you have a new baby. Nothing else matters. She's also so tender and gentle like humans. How can anyone ever do anything to harm them in any way. They're so much like humans, caging them is like caging one of our own. On another note, I enjoyed the video, but I'd like it much better with music rather than all the people's chattering in the background.

      @TanzenderBerg  Рік тому +1

      Thank you Sheila for your comment. I totally agree that Sari is so tender with Kendari, like a human mother is with her child. When I look into their eyes I am ashamed that they are in a cage. And I would wish for them to be free and in their natural habitat. However, it is a good zoo, they don't know anything else and are safer than wild orang-utans. And the breeding within zoos is very important. And I find so much joy in observing them and want to bring this joy to other people with my videos. Referring to your preference of music some of my videos are with music, alas, some people prefer no music. Everyone has a different preference - I try to do my best.

Most humans don't sexually abuse children, but for some reason every video of a new baby orangutan involves the mother sucking her baby's weird little dickie. Yes, I agree with you. It would be preferable if Kendari could live in the original environment for Orang-Utans. It also would be desirable that this environment would be safe and not destroyed by humans. She does not know anything else than the zoo where she feels comfortable and is safe. Zoos are also very important for breeding endagered species. And animals in the zoo are all ambassadors for their species and animals in general. Otherweise People would not have the possitility to watch them and to have joy, and even in some sense connect with them. At least this is a consolation for me for animals in zoos like Schönbrunn.

    • @JuliusKong
      @JuliusKong Рік тому +2

      In a perfect world yeah. Unfortunately today, in the wild most probably the mother would be shot and the little one ending in a cage until dead. If the animals are both physically and mentally heathly in a zoo then I believe that's the better life for a critically endangered animal.

But ultimately the animals' right to be free, in my opinion, is greater than the need of humans' to experience them and "connect" with them. Dear Lynn, I totally agree with you that the environment of the orang-utans at zoo Vienna as you see in the video are not very natural, but they prefer it in cold weather nevertheless Fortunately they have an outside area that really is big, with a lot of possibilities to swing, a little pond, hammocks and gras. Next spring/summer I am going to post a video with the orang-utans playing outside. Still, the indoor area looks artificial.

      @@TanzenderBerg So what you are saying is that they have access to a large outdoor area where they can climb and swing, but they are intentionally choosing to be in the enclosure they're in in this video due to it being too cold outside, right? After watching this my first thought was "They have nowhere to climb and swing!" But if it's true that they're in this room by their own volition, I don't feel as bad. Although it's still not much of a choice as they are tropical animals, and they'd love to be outside and probably don't like being inside, but they're smart enough to know its simply too cold out there.

      This isn't love. She's using it as a sex toy. The only reason they don't neglect their babies is because they enjoy a pleasurable neurochemical release mainly based on touch. That's probably why she sucks his dick about 7 minutes in: because it makes her feel good and that's all she cares about. I wonder if all these orangutans are walking around with deeply-rooted trauma from being sexually abused by their mothers?

As you can see in my new videos (one year later: ua-cam.com/video/vQrX7rzPjgQ/v-deo.html) Kendari is doing fine - and has got a playmate. Nilah and her mother Surya obviously learned a lot from watching Sari and Kendari. So don't worry, everything is just fine.

      @@txbuff18 Thanks for the time information and for your question. The male Vladmir, the father of the baby, is almost 49 years old, and he is very interested in the girl and interacts really gentle with Kendari. Due to his age he is not very active and sometimes likes to sit near the visitors. He cuts a very imposing figure (as all Orang-Utan males) and in the group I think he is still the leader. Yet I have never seen him aggressive. So you can rest assured that in this sequence there was no weird behaviour afterwards, not to Kendari and not to Sari or another female.

      Dear Keith, I totally understand your concern. This concern was mentioned in some comments and I answered each one. The mother is young, it is her first born and yes she is not very experienced and it could have gone better, but Kendari is now one year old and is thriving. See my other video ua-cam.com/video/vQrX7rzPjgQ/v-deo.html where Kendari is to be seen and also another newborn. This other mother seems to have learned from Sari and also she is also young and it is her first born she has had the experience of her mate and her baby so she is handling it better. I totally appreciate your concern and I was concerned too but everything is fine, please be assured.
